The Clip Joint offers quality, full service grooming for your dog. We offer a variety of services including nail trimming, ear cleaning, bathing, brush outs, and haircuts! The Clip Joint is located in the basement of the Sydenham Veterinary Services. We are open Monday - Friday 8:30 - 4:30 appointments are preferred. Walk ins welcome for Nails only...but prefer a call ahead same day with a heads

up so we can give you an estimated time during the day so we don't have you waiting. Meet Crystal -
Dog Groomer by day and Mom 24/7, to two beautiful girls ages 8 and 10. My husband Rob and I moved to Kingston in 2003 for work. Shortly after having our first daughter, we found Sydenham and knew this was the place for us, we wanted our children to grow up in a small town like we did, it feels a little more like back home. So we've been here ever since. Being a stay at home mom until my girls were in school full time made me think, when it was time to return to work, I wanted to return to something that I love and am passionate about each and every day. And that for me is animals. Dogs especially. In 2012 I started pursuing my passion. I completed a course at St. Lawrence College, Introduction to Professional Dog Grooming. Then continued on to shadow, assist and learn from other groomers. Seminars (including Pet First Aid) and continued learning each and every day, here I am. Currently studying Animal Reiki (using energy and compassion for healing) I hope to apply and offer in the near future and I also have interest in Canine Esthetician, to learn more about skin care in dogs. I believe that every dog has a purpose, I would love the opportunity to be part of their journey with you.

Be prepared for the New US Travel Requirements with your dog.

TRAVELING TO THE UNITED STATES WITH YOUR DOG AFTER AUGUST 1? 🇨🇦🇺🇸
Happy Wednesday! Just a reminder if you are crossing the border into the United States with your dog there is now new regulations that will involve paperwork that has to be endorsed by the CFIA (which will require an appointment with them), uploading photos of your dog and filling out some forms online. The exact regulations will be set on July 15 2024 and that is when you will be able to fill the official forms out. I would recommend getting a head start on this by going to the CDC website (cdc.gov) and using the search bar (search dog import) as there are several steps which will take some time.
We will know the exact process on July 15th but it will be very similar to what the website shows now.

UPDATE - The CDC rules have now been officialized. All dogs must be over 6 months of age to travel to the United States. They must be microchipped and vaccinated against rabies. There is a "Dog Import Form" for owners to fill out on the CDC website which includes uploading a picture of the dog. Your veterinarian will also need to fill out some paperwork called "Certification of Dog Arriving from DMRVV-free or Low-Risk Country into the United States form". To fill have this form filled out we will need to see your dog for a check up and to scan the microchip. Despite what the CDC website says we have been told by the CFIA that the paperwork does not have to be endorsed by a government registered veterinarian. Check out cdc.gov for more information,
