This sweet girl from Mollie and Lincoln’s March 2024 litter came back home to me a couple weeks ago. No fault of her own, but her new home had some serious allergy issues and they were unable to keep her. She’s since received her final set of puppy vaccines and is ready to find her new home. ‘Shadow’ is a very smart girl who is learning commands, working on her bathroom routine and loves playing with the other dogs here. This girl is probably the last chance at a CouleesEdge pup, as we have no planned litters in the near future.

**UPDATE: ‘Mulligan’ found his people and joined their family yesterday. All of our puppies are so lucky to have such wonderful homes. Only 2 sweet babies still here, one going home at the end of the week and another in a few weeks when his people return from their travels.

Vet visit went great! Just one sweet fella left looking for his furever family 🐾❤️🐾

❤️🐾Miss Mollie has some news to share!

She is expecting her final litter early next month!

Not only will these be the last puppies from her, they will also be the last CouleesEdge Scotties for the foreseeable future.

While I did keep Maisie back from Mollie’s 2023 litter with the intention to breed her, we may not.
For personal and family reasons I won’t have the time it takes to properly continue with our breeding program for the next while. I’ve loved bringing these sweet, sassy pups into the world and finding them their perfect homes. We have retired Lucy and she has found her perfect forever home in BC with the nicest couple. Lincoln was recently neutered and will live out his days holding our couch down and barking at the pesky deer out the window. Mollie is here forever too, she holds an extra special place in my heart. And finally Maisie, our rambunctious youngster will be staying too. We still may find her a mate in the future, or she will simply round out my trio of personal pets.

❤️Thank you to everyone who has taken in one of our puppies/retired breeding dogs over the years and allowed me to do what I love and help the preservation of this fantastic breed

If it’s not a Scottie, it’s just a dog 😉

Duncan living his best life in Manitoba!
It took a little while, and there were some changes along the way, but I really do believe everything happens for a reason and he’s exactly where he’s meant to be ❤️

🐾Today was annual checkup and 3yr vaccinations for our main man Lincoln. This guy has been consistently weighing in at 10.5kgs and is in excellent health. Then we hung out under a tree, watching cars go by and waited for his favorite basketball girls to be finished in the gym.
Foxtails have been awful on our property this year and everyone is shaved down for easier checking.
I just ❤️ this guy 🥰

About Duncan
I’m starting to look for his new home. He’s come a long way in our month together, but still needs daily training and consistency.
✅He had his first birthday this past Monday
✅ He checked out great at his veterinary exam on Tuesday
✅ He’s learning ‘sit’ ‘off’ ‘no’ ‘wait’ & ‘leave it’ quite well so far
✅ He walks well on a leash when the other dogs aren’t with us
✅ He’s no longer overweight, although he’s still at the higher end of healthy condition.
✅ He sleeps well in his crate through the night.
❌ He is still over excited whenever someone enters the house or if another dog is around
❌ He pulls on the leash when we go walking with family members and other dogs
❌ He was beside himself with excitement in the Vet’s waiting area and I struggled to have him focus on me.

We are still crate training him and while he’s good in there for the most part, he does still let me know he’s not quite a fan of it sometimes. We will be making more trips into the city for walks in the coming days, as walking the same gravel road each day lacks the distractions of city life.

Because of his energy and excitement level I would like to see him go to a home with
•Scottie experience, while he’s a happy boy looking for love, he is definitely Scottie stubborn.
• Where someone will have time to work with him on his manners each day
•no small children, smaller kids tend to move fast and squeal and those two things will only heighten his excitement. He will most likely chase, jump and mouth them in an attempt to play.
•and where he would be the only dog. If there is another dog there already, a calmer patient one would be ideal.

He is essentially a 10wk old puppy in a grown dog body. He is up to date on vaccinations and is neutered. If you have any questions about Duncan, please feel free to contact me.
I will be putting together a Duncan specific application in the next day or so and there will be a fee to take this boy home.
