The barn hunt ring is ready for the next session of classes starting Monday!

A big thank you to Lexi, Des. Tracey, Shyla and Chantelle for moving all those bales!

We have two spots on Mondays available if anyone is interested! This session will be a mix of barn hunt and NASDA to change it up for the dogs a bit and teach them some new skills!

Thank you so much to everyone who came out for our Barn Hunt Fun Test!

It was a fabulous day! So many great runs to watch! The dogs all had so much fun!

Thank you to our wonderful judge Alannah for fun, challenging courses, and all your wisdom! You made the day run so smoothly!

Thank you to everyone who pitched in throughout the day to scribe, course build, run the gate, rat wrangle, and blind steward!

Thank you to Tracey our Trial Secretary for all your hard work getting everyone entered, making sure the running orders ran efficiently and all the behind the scenes work!

Thank you to Bella for entering our results all day and making sure we had all the information to get ribbons ready for everyone at the end of the day!

Thank you to everyone who stayed to the end to help us take down and get the course set for class this week!

Congrats to all of MH Barn Hunt Club students! Your hard work with your dogs really showed today! I get to hear all about you from Lexi but it was fun to watch you all in action.

And the biggest thank you to our sweet little gerbils who are the true hard workers of the day keeping the dogs engaged in the game! They get to snuggle in and have a rest!

We are so excited to host Barn Hunt trials in the future! Stay tuned!

Sending out a big Congrats this morning!!

We had 3 dogs make the top stats page for 2023 Barn Hunt!

Clover (and Alexis) were the #3 senior dog and #7 masters dog for Alberta!

Thistle (and Tracey) were the #6 senior dog in Alberta

Holly (and Tracey) were the #7 novice dog in Alberta!

Way to go teams!!! Can’t wait to see what 2024 brings!

Looking for a fun enrichment for your pups in this cold weather?

My girls love their “stuffed peppers”!

You can stuff them with
Raw
Canned sardines
Pumpkin
Baby food
Canned dog food
Soften kibble
Greek yogurt
Treats (I like to save the powder at the bottom of the treat bags and then I mix with some bone broth and make a paste to use in my stuffed treats)
Stella and Chewy’s Stew

(Go see the staff at Pet Valu they can help you find so much fun to stuff!)

Then I topped mine with dehydrated rabbit and strawberries, froze for a couple hours and a great treat for the dogs! (You can probably put them outside for 5 minutes and they will be ready 😂)

Starting the week of January 8th!

Classes are 120$ for a 6 week session.

In 2024 we will be hosting a Fun Match and fingers crossed our first trial!

Does your dog need a barn hunt number??? Now is the time to get one!!!

Happiest of Holidays! I do not run registration sales often, generally only once a year. I did run one for our 10th anniversary this year, but do not expect another until sometime around the end of the year next year!

Please do follow the instructions to get your discount! If you don't put in the code, or register either before or after the deadline, you will not get the discount. Refunds will not be given.

There are many cases of a kennel cough type virus going around.

If your dog has a cough/sneezing/ runny nose/vomiting/ diarrhea/lethargic or is generally feeling unwell please keep your dogs home from classes and quarantine for the specific times from your vet.

Our classes involve puppies, seniors, and dogs that may have difficulties with their immune systems and we want to make sure we keep everyone as safe as possible!

This is our last week of classes before Christmas break, hopefully everyone can get healthy over the Christmas break and be ready to play again in January!

Alexis and Tracey were up in Lacombe this past weekend at Prairie Dog Sports for the last barn hunt trial of 2023

Thistle and Tracey earned there Senior title!

Holly and Tracey earned their Novice Title!

Clover and Lexi earned two more legs towards their Master title!

Can’t wait to see what 2024 brings for these teams!

Classes run for 5 weeks and are 120$

6:00-7:00 Try it! ( 3 spots left)
(open to dogs over 6 months of age, for puppies some exercises will be modified to keep their growing bodies safe!)
(try out all the sports we have to offer and see if we can find the fit for you)

7:00-8:00 Parkour 1 spot open (open to dogs over 10 months of age)
Come try this fun sport! It can help your dog learn how to use their bodies and help enrich their walks!

8:00-9:00 Beginner Flyball (1 Spot Left)
(open to dogs over 1 year of age)
we are so excited to be able to offer flyball in the city and will be looking to build some teams to start a fun league in the Spring!
