We are pretty biased, but we think equine repro is pretty much the coolest thing EVER. I mean really now- WE MAKE BABY HORSES!!!! 😍😍😍

Come join our team! We are looking to hire an equine tech that would like to also be the breeding season manager.

Candidate will be responsible for providing efficient and effective support for the equine breeding operation.

Required skills:
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Good computer skills and demonstrated ability to learn new software programs
• Ability to prioritize, multitask and handle stressful situations calmly and efficiently
• Ability and willingness to work collaboratively and independently in a team environment

Responsibilities include:
• Maintaining inventory of breeding supplies
• Ordering and receiving samples and keeping accurate records on patient files
• Maintaining inventory of frozen samples
• Monitoring storage tanks
• Preparing and receiving shipments of samples
• Completing import permits
• Assisting with o**m pick up and embryo flushes

Education and Experience:
• Prior experience in an equine veterinary hospital or breeding facility is preferred.
• Priority given to registered Veterinary technicians

The Veterinary Receptionist is responsible for providing exceptional front-end support for clients and patients and the medical team.

Required skills:
A commitment to providing excellent customer service
Excellent verbal and written communication
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Excellent computer skills and demonstrated ability to learn new software programs
Ability to prioritize, multitask and handle stressful situations calmly and efficiently

Responsibilities include:
Greeting clients
Answering phones and managing emails
Maintaining and managing client and patient records; includes scanning and reviewing patient information to ensure accuracy
Assisting clients in completing appropriate forms
Completing patient referrals
Preparing Doctor/client correspondence
Providing estimates for clients
Processing payments
Printing invoices and adding relevant charges to patient files
Preparing weekly and monthly statements for billing clients
Resolving billing disputes and managing client complaints and inquiries
Preparing daily deposits
Maintaining a clean work environment

Education and Experience:
High School Diploma (min)
Prior experience in a veterinary hospital or animal care environment is preferred.

It's that time of year 😍 We have already got a few pregnant recips out the door, so it's time for us to search for some more 🥳

What we are looking for:
□ Mares between 3 and 13 years old
□ Ideally have raised a foal (but not required)
□ They don't have to be sound, but we prefer them sane! (The baby they raise can take on some of mom's habits... so no renegades allowed)

The recip life here is pretty sweet. Full feed all the time. In a small herd (each herd is separated in terms of dominant mares, middle of the road, and the passive gals). Cookies when they come into the clinic. When they go home, they are treated like gold (they often are growing the most valuable baby on the place!)

Breeding Season Positions/Job Openings!

We are ramping up to have a very busy breeding season this year and will need a few extra bodies around to accommodate.

Front end wizard/multi-tasking ninja: help organize shipments, deliveries, manage inventory, answer phones, try to organize Megan's time (if you are an expert cat herder, this job is for you). You get to work next to Kim, who is the REAL boss of Blue Sky 😀

Pen Cleaners, Feeders, Waterers, and mare runners. There will be over 100 head of horses here, and well.... they eat, drink and p**p a LOT 😬 Must have experience handling horses. This is a great position if you are wanting to get hours for tech or vet school, as you will still see all the other aspects of equine medicine as well (foaling, colics, laceration repairs, etc)

Breeding Season is definitely a crazy time to be here, but we still have fun with it!

How important is nutrition in your broodmare?

🌟VERY IMPORTANT!!! 🌟

One of the most important nutrients to add on is omega-3 fatty acids. Supplementation of omega-3 fatty acids for 90 days has been shown to improve embryo quality and endometrial health. We recommend feeding this to all broodmares, but when is it even more important?:

■ Older mares (>16yo)
■ If your mare didn't catch last year
■ Any mare you want to do embryo transfer or o**m pick-up (ICSI) on

Also- ensure horses have access to good quality forage (they eat to stay warm). Keeping fresh, warm water available will reduce the risk of impaction colic during this time.
