Aster,Zane & Zen loved their day today. A little truck ride to get them accustomed to travel, rewarded with a walk to the river and met several new K9 friends. Lots of gentle reassurances and a reminder of how we walk nice on a leash. These are calm pups longing to learn. They are a little bit nervous as they have grown up here at angels after being rescued from starvation at 3 months of age; they are 7 months currently.
Aster the female is smaller and might mature to 70-80 lbs, the boys are larger and could mature to 80-100 lbs.
They would thrive best joining a family with a current k9 to help guide he or she thru basic training and life experience. They may also do best in a rural environment.

We are so fortunate to have so many supporters that love Angels Animal Rescue and come out to help us with donations of blankets and freezer meat. Thank you for helping us help animals in need. Your support is always needed and so appreciated 🐾💕
A special thanks to Sandy Clark for collecting a jeep full of blankets from the amazing people of Logan Lake and our hard working volunteer Charlotte who is busy cooking up the meat for dogs.

These two sweet Border Collie sisters had so much fun today being snow angels in the fresh snow. We love seeing our rescues enjoying life! 🐾💕

Adoption info:
These 9 month old Border Collie sisters came to us after their elderly owner could no longer care for them. They were loved and well socialized with other dogs and it shows in their sweet nature. These girls are calm and love to snuggle. When out on walks they come when called and check back often. They are smart and inquisitive. They already show traits of their herding breed and would make wonderful companions to an active family or farm lifestyle and would excel in dog sports that challenge their budding intelligence. They would then love to snuggle up with you and show you how much they love you.
These girl have already been spayed and up to date on their vaccinations.

Thankyou Kamloops Storm Hockey Team for inviting us to host the 3rd annual Weiner dog races! We are there for fun but on a serious note, our goal is to raise funds to support our efforts rescuing Injured, abandoned, neglected and abused animals.

We had to respond to a horrible allegation this evening…any of you that know us, also know this allegation is untrue.
The allegation suggested ‘we hoard aggressive dogs’…

I am so very saddened by this post and I weep as I write. We have worked so hard, saved so many beautiful dogs, that weren’t perfect but were given the opportunity to be so at Angels. None of us are perfect but we’re not aloud to euthanize humans that have problems. Dogs are expected to be perfect; And when they are not- get out the needle. Sadly we have let some go because we realize it is our duty to protect the public from a dog that may hurt others.
That said, I will never stop giving dogs or any animal for that matter, the opportunity they so deserve, to discover themselves, to learn how to trust humans and their own kind, to experience love, security and comfort.
It isn’t easy; We have many different personalities, different energy, and different dogs have different challenges.
We don’t keep them in a 4x4 cement cel or crate and because of that we will have dogs make mistakes, disagree with one another as they learn hierarchy and respect among each other and us.
I know we are not perfect. I know the dogs we rescue are not perfect. And I know the people we choose to adopt them to are not perfect. We can only try our best and do it with love and patience.
Maybe perfect is just a word that really doesn’t have any meaning at all.

Shylo and Sophie these 2 beautiful cats need too be rehomed, must stay together, very bonded..Indoor only. Both up to date on vet visits spayed and neutered..pls share.. aged 8 and 13..owner relocation overseas and can't bring cats with them seeking loving caring home..good with dogs and kids.

The cold days of winter can be challenging for us at Angels and we could use your help!! 🐾
We are low on blankets and warm bedding and would gratefully accept any donations. 💕
As well, if you find yourself cleaning out your freezer we would love to take any freezer meat off your hands as we frequently take in dogs that are undernurished or still nursing puppies who would greatly benifit from the additional nutrients
We can pick up in Merritt, Kamloops and Logan Lake.

These two sweet little boys are available for adoption; they are a bonded pair, Bandit and Tucker, 4&6 years of age, longhair dachshund boys. They have lived a happy life, however, sadly their humans can no longer care for them. To enquire please contact Angels animal rescue @250-378-5223 [email protected]

Freedom from a leash and interaction with other k9’s is so important for the mental well being of all dogs. We will be introducing pack walk and socializing education 🐾 If interested please express with a text and detailed explanation of your and your dogs needs 🐾 For dogs that need to be socialized the training sessions are 30 min because you always want to start and end on a good note. As your dogs social skills grow the sessions become longer and is pro-rated in price. 25.00 per 1/2 hour per dog. It’s amazing how much growth and pleasure can take place in half an hour. 250-378-5223

We decided to name the little black staffy found tied to a stop sign Zalen. It means freedom.....freedom from a chain , from abuse and neglect and freedom to be a happy dog. We think Zalen is already living up to his name. Don't you? 💕🐾

A pack of puppies. Not high energy as you can see, they tuckered out half way up the hill lol!

Thank God HeatSeeking Wildfire Crew, were not willing to leave these animals to suffer among the flames. Burnt paws, no longer able to walk, huge and matted to the bone. HeatSeeking Wild Fire Crew, carried this probably 160 lb dog out to safety. Hero’s? I’d say so. 💕 Angels animal rescue providing solace, love and care in times of need …
