Kentucky bluegrass hay for sale, average 1122 pounds per large square bale, $150 each or if buying several $260/ton. We have been feeding this to our cattle mixed all winter, but the gear box in our mixer wagon piled up. Our cows are too fussy and prefer not to eat it straight, they’ve been spoiled with a mixed ration. It would be decent horse hay as well as the sugar is only 10.5%, protein is 9.1. Located in Merritt, no delivery available.

This hay seen recently for sale is a perfect example - just because it’s Timothy, doesn’t mean that it’s low-sugar or necessarily good for your horse. This hay comes in at 14.57% sugar. This is far higher sugar than I would personally feed our own horses, none of whom have metabolic issues. Know what you’re feeding! ~ Rhonda

Both Wayne and I would like to thank all of our hay customers for their loyal business over the years. As our cattle herd is expanding, we will not be selling hay on a regular basis any more. There is a possibility I will have some second cut for sale the end of July / beginning of August, but if there is any at all it will be a very limited amount.
