This post is not meant to be politically charged. It is a set of saddle pads. That’s is it, that is all. As always, I’m steering clear of politics. Talk to me in person if you want to actually discuss.

Just a friendly reminder however, that I’ve always been manufacturing my own saddle pads in my own sweatshop... I mean living room😅. I’ve been using Vancouver Island wool for my English saddle pads since 2023. This is nothing new. I’m also not entirely sure what the politics will do for my cotton batting, but I guess we will cross that bridge at my next re-stock. Until then, we ride this out together. Or until the bell rings. Then we figure it all out as a team.

Yes, the Working Equitation puns are indeed intentional and terrible. 🫶

Fresh Fabric Friday is marbled this week. Classic, watercolour and just plain gorgeous. This style of pattern never gets boring or out of popularity. I have enough in each print for two pads in any style or size of pad. English pads: cotton and wool batting $250, easy care batting $150. Western blankets $225 short wear leathers. $250 for longer wear leathers.

Obviously, I’m not talking about politics. A great coach and rider is heading out for some amazing rides in the near future. I’m super excited for her and can’t wait to see the pictures from international competitions and travel. You got this! I’m sure going to miss your encouragement, honesty and keen eye. Also, I’m going to miss my absolute favourite trick preforming barn dog.

A wee bit of a catchup post. I have had a short break from the social media updates, but I’ve been a busy bee over the holidays. This is truly a one person operation right now.

More saddle pads and seat covers have made their ways to have adventures with new and returning customers alike. Thank you all for supporting a tiny local business! This is my absolute dream to share my skills and passion with other equestrians. I’m really excited to head into 2025 and see where this little passion project takes me next. Last year I started using exclusively the Vancouver Island produced wool in my English pads. As well starting to use local sheepskin in the seat covers. Where do I find local cotton producers is my next question…😂

I do have more stirrup cozies available in Navy for $20 a set. These are big enough for the Flexon or similar styles of stirrups, keeping your saddle from getting damaged when not in use. There are four of them ready for immediate purchase and can be mailed out. I still have 5 pads available for immediate purchase as well and only 4 pads in the queue. Reach out to me to start your own pad or blanket. I’m going to be on a roll with some show pads the next couple of days. 🫶

Fresh Fleece Friday, Here is the drop for the Western Seat cover! Made with washable quality sheepskin originating from New Zealand (cream) or Vancouver Island (white and espresso). I have designed the fit to fully fit around the entire seat, ensuring the most comfortable and best fit possible.

Made with high quality plush fleeces, these keep your t**h warm and comfy in the winter. In the summer they will keep the “sweaty situation” at bay. The magic of wool my friends! No wonder Queen Elizabeth was always seen riding with her sheepskin covers… she was one incredible equestrian with a very smart Royal hinney.

I’m introducing these pads at $220 and have limited stock available at this time. The template I currently have is for a 16” seat. If you have a different sized saddle and are in the area, a custom fitting will be recommended to ensure a perfect fitting final product. If you are not in the Victoria area, I will ask for measurements of your saddle to ensure best fit.

The English version is available for $180. I will drop the photos in the next few days. I’ve been using mine for the past couple of weeks and absolutely loving the butt upgrade. This is the perfect solution for “lesson saddles” or the trail ride in a close contact situation.

Fresh Fabric Friday!!! These beautiful fabrics have arrived and couldn’t be more different than each other. There is only enough of each print for maybe two pads. Message me right away to get your pad made before Christmas for local pick up. Will you choose the “Steampunk Owls” or the “Magical Fairy floral”? What’s your favourite???

With the postal strike still on going and other carriers being completely swamped, no more “before Christmas” deliveries are expected to make it in time.

This print from a distance is giving very mindful, considerate and demure vibes… up close she’s a “Sailor Jerry” tattoo inspired total Baddie. Love it. Black and pretty at a distance, mesmerizing mermaids and skulls up close.
Prices for English pads are $150 with the easy care batting. $250 with the cotton and Vancouver Island wool batting.
Western pads are 20/80% wool/cotton and $225 or $250 depending on wear leathers length.
