Check out those ⚡️lightning⚡️ fast reflexes!
Here Jeff carefully approaches the seal pup so it isn’t scared in to the water, and then quickly “scruffs” the sea pup (much like a mother cat or dog would) so that it can be brought up from the dock. As explained in our previous post, this little one was likely abandoned and had an injury, so on the advice of the BC SPCA Wild Animal Rehabilitation Centre (Wild ARC) well as the Marine Mammal Rescue Centre it was deemed to need rescuing and medical care.
Thanks so much to the staff and service members at Naden for their assistance in this rescue, especially to Aaron for providing the photos and video!
Here’s the release video from the eagle caught in the chicken coop. She’s out there happy, healthy, and soaring the skies now! 🦅😍
Part rescue, part human-wildlife conflict, this eagle found themselves stuck when they thought they’d try for an easy chicken dinner!
