Catalyst's Ain't Doin' Jack was a big hit at the Ontario County Dog show on the weekend. Lots of love and attention from exhibitors, spectators and judges. Thank you to Adrienne King Almey for the candid photos and Anne Rasz Photography for the official photo!

Jack was Best Baby Puppy in Group on Saturday under judge Raymond Yurick, British Columbia.Thank you for rewarding this young boy at his very first show.

The Australian Cattle Dog is a strong compact, symmetrically built working dog, with the ability and willingness to carry out his allotted task however arduous.

Are you interested in this breed? The OFA, working with the Australian Cattle Dog Club of America, recommends the following basic health screening tests for all breeding stock:
- Hip Dysplasia (OFA or PennHIP)
- Elbow Dysplasia
- ACVO Eye Exam (24m age minimum)
- Progressive Retinal Atrophy prcd (DNA Test)
- Congenital Deafness (BAER)
- Primary Lens Luxation (DNA Test)
Optional but recommended:
- Patellar Luxation
- Cardiac Exam (Basic, Advanced, or Standard Congenital Cardiac Exam)
- Progressive Retinal Atrophy RCD4
- PennHip

Dogs meeting these basic health screening requirements are issued Canine Health Information Center (CHIC) numbers. For potential puppy buyers, CHIC certification is a good indicator the breeder responsibly factors good health into their selection criteria.

A day of two 1st for Cayalyst dogs today at the Victoria County dog show in Lindsay.
Déjà Vu (Catalyst’s Over All Over Again), at nine months old, got her 1st point going Best of Breed over a top 5 ACD in Canada! What a thrill for us.
Then Rylee (Catalyst’s Long Live the Night) won Best Altrted in Breed for his 1st championship point. Anyone who knows how hard Deborah Leslie and Jim Leslie have worked with Rylee will understand our joy!!!

Congratulations to Sarah Shaw and Tess (Catalyst’s Red Headed Stranger - 9 months old) on their Best in Sweepstakes win at the Assiniboine dog show in Manitoba from an entry of 40 puppies.
Conformation is a new adventure for both of them - and they are rock in’ it!
