FOR SALE:
Lovely mover. 14'2 large pony. 6 yr old gelding. Easy keeper, loads, baths and good for farrier. We are downsizing and no time to bring him along any further. This guy is very sweet, he can go in any direction and goes barefoot. He has been off property and rode by kids. He is still considered green and best suited to be in a consistent program to progess further. Happy to live outside or can be on indoor board. No lameness or maintenance, UTD on teeth and vaccines. He is W/T/C and goes over small jumps. We are taking our time working on his flying lead changes. He is a quick learner and is well balanced. We are looking to find him a new address now, yet must go to a good home for this boy. Campbellville

Not everyone can say they love there job. I’m blessed. I do. Teaching from novice to the experienced. Rusty riders getting back into riding and less confident.
More experienced looking to show.

I have a strong knowledge in horsemanship and training with certification. When people come to me explaining how there horses are bodychecking them or barging through them as they open the barn door crowding there space and being dominant. Can’t use fly spray.
It’s time to go back to the basics. Horses are always communicating with us and it’s our responsibility to learn their body language and have a conversation with them. Body language is universal. Takes time and patience in earning a horses trust. Not by self anger if training is not coming along fast enough. We have to teach the horse to respect us. Respect from horse to person is a mental connection. We can enjoy are relationships so much more. I am aware of my own energy and emotions and hope to synchronize in a positive calming way.
It is so important for the owners to participate in the horsemanship training as much as possible. Remember the horse goes home with you to continue.

One of my students has made a huge impression on me. This young lady came to me over a year ago to learn to ride. At the age of 15 she broke her back from riding at a different facility. She was given the go ahead to start riding from her doctor. After her experience most people would never want to look at horse again. Her love for horses was her drive. The fear in this girl I cannot explain. It took us 6 months to build up the confidence to finally get on the horse. A year of not only horsemanship ( which she loved ) building trust and communication on the ground but the transformation to get on the horse was a big achievement. How proud of her I was and still am. Through many tears she is now very happy. 2 weeks ago she finally asked if she could trot a few steps off the lead line. I jumped for joy lol. She finally has trust and confidence in herself and me and her mount. She is an inspiration for all. She’s a beautiful soul that deserved better.
This is why I do what I do. The rusty riders, riders who are so scared their love for horses brings them here.

As a certified Pelvis/seat Trainer I teach biomechanics in horse and rider.
Knowing the Anatomy of your pelvis.
Finding your seat bones
Balance through your seat bones
What is the function of your seat bones. MOVEMENT.

FORCE ABSORPTION- to be the best load to carry, we must be responsible for the horse and improve our own absorption - increase awareness becoming aware of your body.

PROPRIOCEPTION- coordinating aids clearly, correctly becoming aware of your own body.

POSTURE AND ALIGNMENT- ever noticed how you’re seated to one side. Unbalancing for you and your horse. Notice then how your horse prefers to go to the left rather than the right.
One shoulder lower than the other shoulder. One shoulder more open than the other or stiffer.
Your Pecks tight and short bringing one shoulder more forward.

Also as a certified trainer in the Franklin Method using specific equipment and balls to enhance proprioception, improves posture, opens up your pelvis, helps stay seated in your seat bones.
Your body’s ability to sense movement, action and reaction is present in every muscle you have through your nervous system.
It’s important for us as riders to warm up before mounting. Most people sit at a desk all day becoming stiff and tight. Through the Franklin Method we go through stretching before mounting.

If you’re interested in private lessons please contact me for availability.
If you’re interested in hosting a clinic in any of the above please contact me.

Did I mention how much I love what I do

Recent studies conducted by the Institute of Heart-Math provide a clue to explain the two-way ′′healing′′ that occurs when we're close to horses.
According to researchers, the heart has an electromagnetic field larger than the brain: a magnetometer can measure the energy field of the heart that radiates from 2.4 meters to 3 meters around the human body.
While this is certainly significant, perhaps more impressive than the electromagnetic field projected by the heart of a horse is five times larger than that of a human being (imagine an electromagnetic sphere around the horse) and it can influence straight into our own heart rate.
Horses are also likely to have what science has identified as a "coherent′′ heart rate (heart rate pattern) that explains why we can feel better when we're close to them. Studies have found a coherent heart pattern or HRV to be a solid measure of well-being and consistent with emotional states of calm and joy-that is, we exhibit such patterns when we feel positive emotions.
A coherent heart pattern is indicative of a system that can recover and adapt to stressful situations very efficiently. Many times, we just need to be in the presence of horses to feel a sense of well-being and peace.
In fact, research shows that people experience many physiological benefits by interacting with horses, including lower blood pressure and heart rate, higher beta-endorphins (neurotransmitters acting as pain suppressors), decreased stress levels, decreased feelings of anger, hostility, tension and anxiety, better social working; and greater feelings of empowerment, confidence, patience and self-efficacy.
