😩 “MY DOG NEEDS TRAINING!!!” 😩
🐾 If you have said this line at any time, don’t miss this opportunity to sign up for our Canine Communication 101 group class. It is only a 4 week commitment to attend classes, and the knowledge you acquire is immense, that can get you started on a wonderful and fulfilling journey of a better mutual relationship with your four legged family member😊❤️🐾
🐾 Check out the video above from our October 2023 session of CC101. The dogs in this video struggled with leash reactivity, overexcitement, anxiety and more… and only after 2 weeks of appropriate guidance from their owners they were able to achieve what most parents didn’t think was possible…. polite behaviour around major distractions 🐾! What an achievement 🎉. IN THIS CLASS YOU WILL LEARN:
🐾 How to change anxiety into relaxation
🐾 How to change overexcitement into calm
🐾 Polite behaviour on leash and off leash basics and so much more!!!
🐾Our spring session starts on Thursday, May 4th and runs for 4 weeks. First class is for owners only without dogs and is 6 - 9pm Introduction to Canine Psychology Seminar. The following 3 classes are on Thursdays 7:30-9pm with dogs. Our primary goal is to teach all dogs 3 life skills: calm follower state of mind when on leash (polite leash walking without pulling), calm state of mind next to owner, calm state of mind away from owner and calm on cue. Once a dog has these “life skills” as we call them, you can teach them many other things such as obedience commands, recall, etc. However without the ability to calm down on cue and stay calm for desired periods of time, your dog will not be able to be successful at desired basic tasks such as not jumping up for greetings, not pulling on leash, lunging at passing dogs, people or objects when on leash, etc.
ONLY A FEW SPOTS REMAIN for this class and the cost is only $499 and includes a training leash. Email us at [email protected] to
💖 Our pack practicing impulse control around our special little visitor💖🐾. It is so important to teach our dogs to be respectful and calm when needed. This was a great exercise asking dogs to give space and be respectful and calm around a baby. If you listen carefully, you will hear nothing… no yelling or screaming at the dogs, no commands, simply a mutual understanding of the dogs and their pack leaders❤️! OUR PACK IS AMAZING 💖🐾!
Please note, DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME! This is a very controlled and special environment with numerous professional dog handlers and with everyone’s safety as our first priority!
🐾 Check out this progress video clip of our Canine Communication 101 class in which most dogs attending struggled with excitability, leash reactivity and definitely lack of proper leash skills to name just a few behavioural issues that we were able to overcome quickly and effectively with better understanding along with appropriate non-verbal gentle and clear communication 😊🐾
Continued practice is required to maintain any type of skill. If your dog is not performing or acting the way you expect them to, don’t forget to ask yourself the following questions:
“Has my dog had enough structured physical and mental exercise today?”
“Have I been consistent with my rules and expectations?”
“Am I clear with my communication?”… remembering that dogs don’t speak English
“Have I been practicing daily what I expect of my dog?”
“How am I feeling? Am I calm and confident or…”
Remember… the only way to have a wonderful relationship with your dog is mutual respect, understanding and love … and lots and lots of practice of the behaviours you are wanting to achieve 💖🐾

✳️ TRAINING TIP ✳️
🛎 Are you having ANY behavioural issues with your dog? Anything and everything from leash pulling, reactivity, overexcitement, jumping, nipping and/or general disobedience?
🐕 Step one to fixing canine behaviour problems is establishing consistent and clear rules and structure that your dog must follow every day.
The easiest way to do this is to walk your dog daily and by teaching your dog to be in a calm follower state of mind whenever they are on a leash.
🐩 Being able to communicate with your dog through a leash is step one to building a healthy relationship together.
🐕 If you need help with your leash handling skills, please enquire about FPS Training. Group and Private programs available.
