We have a sweet little kitten available for adoption! This is Rice, the tripod kitten. She has recovered very well from her amputation, and now she is looking for her forever home! She is FIV/FeLV negative and has been dewormed. If you are interested in adopting this sweet girl, you can give us a call at 506-773-7845.

Exciting News 🎉

We now offer laser therapy! Laser therapy is used to reduce pain, reduce inflammation and promote healing. There are many conditions that can be treated and pets that can benefit from this type of non invasive treatment. Some pets find it so relaxing that they actually fall asleep during treatment! The best part is the goggles the patients wear during treatment, how cute are they!

With the rise in tick cases we are seeing, including tick borne disease in dogs (Lyme and Anaplasmosis), here is your reminder to check your dog for ticks after being outside. Ticks are popping up in neighborhood backyards where people least expect them. Make sure you have your pet on parasite prevention, a disease infested tick can hitch a ride into your house on your pet so you want it to die before it has the chance to bite you or your child. We also have the Lyme vaccine for dogs! It doesn’t replace parasite prevention, it adds another layer of protection for your furry family members.

We hope everyone is enjoying their long weekend! Just a heads up that tomorrow - Tuesday July 2nd - we will be opening at 12 pm. We have staff training in the morning so the doors will be locked until 12 pm. We will be open until 6 pm as usual.

Also, Friday July 5th the clinic will be CLOSED for the entire day. So if you need medication or food, please stop in some time this week before Friday.

We have been made aware of a scam on our last photo contest post. We would never ask you to register for anything or put in credit card information or send proof of anything when you win a contest. The winner of last weeks contest was notified in the comments of the post that her dog Oscar won. We will continue the contest weekly throughout the month, but please don’t ever give your personal information to anyone.

We have seen 5 cases of Lyme disease (one of those cases tested positive for both Lyme and anaplasmosis) and two more case of Anaplasmosis in dogs already this year. Most of those cases were in MARCH, a time of year where most people aren’t thinking about parasite prevention because of the snow. The two big ticks in the picture are very full. You’d notice them, right? The tiny one in the circle is a lot harder to spot. We took those three ticks off a cat last week. We cannot stress the importance of parasite prevention enough, it doesn’t just protect your pets, it protects your family members as well

Our groomer, Kathia, gave this big guy a bath and deshedding yesterday. Sometimes you don’t notice how much hair comes off a short coated dog!

Kathia graduated from Elite dog grooming & academy in Moncton in September 2023. 👩‍🎓

Our grooming hours will be Monday-Friday 9am-4pm. Kathia is now taking on appointments starting as soon as Monday April 8th.
