It's that time of year again, and our annual Giving Tree is back! To participate, simply stop by the shelter, call us at 622-0645, or send us a message through our page, and we'll have you pick an envelope from any available numbers. You'll then be sent a corresponding cat picture with that cat's Christmas wish list.

These lists are valued at no more than $25, and we will also have special new envelopes for anybody wishing to sponsor a spay/neuter for a cat in need (valued at $100). We ask that gifts are dropped off at the SPCA during business hours between now and December 18th @ 3PM to give us time to distribute presents and take some pictures.

Let's give these sweet cats the best Christmas ever! 🎅🎄🐈‍⬛

This year's annual Pet Pictures raised $650 for the animals in our care.

Thank you again to Grace Gilliss Photography for volunteering her day for such a great cause! And a huge thank you to the Royal Canadian Legion Miramichi Branch 10 for allowing us to use their space.

Meg Audet and coworkers generously donated a self-care gift basket and sold tickets, raising over $300 for the Miramichi SPCA. You guys rock! Congratulations to Fidele Goguen Jr, our lucky winner!

Come on down to the Rock n Roll Festival where the SPCA will be located just behind the kin center until 5PM. You can grab a bite to eat at our barbecue (by donation), vote for your favorite pet for our photo contest, buy some goodies for your furbaby at our mini market, and more! We hope to see you soon!

Meet Ally, a six-month-old tabby who recently recovered from an emergency procedure costing over $800. After a routine spay surgery, Ally's vet had difficulty waking her up from anesthesia, and a simple spay surgery turned into an emergency. Thanks to quick-thinking veterinary staff, Ally was diagnosed with a 'diaphragmatic hernia' and received emergency surgery that saved her life. She is now recovering well at the shelter, but overwhelming vet bills can deplete the funds needed for emergencies like these. If you would like to be a part of an initiave to directly help animals in critical need, below are links to our Chance's Fund web page and to Canada Helps. Penny is a sweet 2-year-old spayed female that would be best suited in a home without other cats. Despite losing her five kittens to panleukopenia as well as beating the odds against the virus herself, she is not letting it keep her down. While she is a very loving, curious and playful girl, she has been struggling with shelter life due to her aversion to other cats keeping her caged.
