Meet Ally, a six-month-old tabby who recently recovered from an emergency procedure costing over $800. After a routine spay surgery, Ally's vet had difficulty waking her up from anesthesia, and a simple spay surgery turned into an emergency. Thanks to quick-thinking veterinary staff, Ally was diagnosed with a 'diaphragmatic hernia' and received emergency surgery that saved her life. She is now recovering well at the shelter, but overwhelming vet bills can deplete the funds needed for emergencies like these.
If you would like to be a part of an initiave to directly help animals in critical need, below are links to our Chance's Fund web page and to Canada Helps. We ask anybody who can, to please consider donating to 'Chance's Fund' to help sweet cats like Ally who need it most.
You can donate directly to Chance's Fund using our 'Canada Helps' form: [https://www.canadahelps.org/en/dn/78921]

We want to help every animal that we can, but we cannot do it with a full shelter and no empty spaces for them. 😞 Please consider adopting one of our beautiful cats. They've waited long enough to finally have a home. <3

Penny is a sweet 2-year-old spayed female that would be best suited in a home without other cats. Despite losing her five kittens to panleukopenia as well as beating the odds against the virus herself, she is not letting it keep her down. While she is a very loving, curious and playful girl, she has been struggling with shelter life due to her aversion to other cats keeping her caged. We all think this poor cat has been through enough in her short life, and hope that she soon finds the furever home she deserves. <3
If you're interested in adopting Penny, our online applications can be found here: https://www.spcamiramichi.com/adoption-fees/
Cha Cha is a beautiful five month-old female who is still looking for her furever home. We could be a little biased, but is she not just the sweetest girl loving on our staff? 🥹
