Amazing. Thank you Grace Gilliss Photography 🩷
As most of you have heard by now, the SPCA is at risk of their doors closing soon.
They provide a very crucial service to our community and fluffy friends! I thought I would host a giveaway in attempt to raise more money for them. 🐾
How do you enter? Send at least $5 ($5 = 1 entry) to [email protected] and send me the screenshot for proof! That’s it! Your name will be entered into the draw. I will randomly select a person this Sunday, September 15th @ 12:00pm 💜

Today, our Executive Director, Jennifer Arseneault, and our Board President, Kyla Jardine, were invited to make a presentation to the Social and Economic Development Committee at City Hall. Many of our staff and board members were there to support us.
The Councillors in attendance listened to our concerns and truly heard what we had to say. They were gracious and attentive and asked some relevant questions.
We want everyone to understand that talks like these take time but we all left there today feeling like this is a great first step in hopefully paving a road where we can work together to better serve our community.

Thank you Travel With Tara - Marlin Travel ❤️❤️ amazing!!
Update!! At 9:37am - WE ARE SOLD OUT!!!!!
My heart is bursting!!
There has been such positive feedback back on this and the quickness of this support was not expected.
I have a list made of all people who commented - based on a first comment first served basis - for tickets
NO TICKETS HAVE BEEN FILLED OUT AND WILL NOT BE FILLED OUT UNTIL MONDAY.
Should transfers not be received by Monday from those who have had their comment liked - then tickets could become available.
The main focus of this was to raise a substantial much needed donation for our local SPCA and that has been accomplished.
To anyone who is upset on not getting a ticket - then I apologize!!
If tickets become available on Monday, then I will reach out to those people as well in the order that they reached out to me.
It was how I saw best fit to handle the shocking demand.
There are only 250 tickets being sold with proceeds being donated to the Miramichi Chapter of the SPCA
This fundraiser is sponsored in whole by Travel with Tara - Marlin Travel

Send all e-transfers to Donna at [email protected]. Send us a directly message if you can't e-transfer and we will make arrangements.

Congratulations to Kris Powers and Jill Stewart who both adopted cats from the SPCA and each won a $100 Global Pet Foods gift card!
99.3 The River and Global Pet Foods have partnered with us to promote adopting a cat from the Miramichi SPCA. A spotlight on one loveable and adoptable cat from our shelter will be posted on 99.3's page (https://www.facebook.com/993theriver) every Friday. Anyone who adopts a cat leading up to the next Friday, before a new cat is featured, will have their name put in the draw.

Come on down to the Rock n Roll Festival where the SPCA will be located just behind the kin center until 5PM. Meet Ally, a six-month-old tabby who recently recovered from an emergency procedure costing over $800. After a routine spay surgery, Ally's vet had difficulty waking her up from anesthesia, and a simple spay surgery turned into an emergency. Thanks to quick-thinking veterinary staff, Ally was diagnosed with a 'diaphragmatic hernia' and received emergency surgery that saved her life. She is now recovering well at the shelter, but overwhelming vet bills can deplete the funds needed for emergencies like these. If you would like to be a part of an initiave to directly help animals in critical need, below are links to our Chance's Fund web page and to Canada Helps. We ask anybody who can, to please consider donating to 'Chance's Fund' to help sweet cats like Ally who need it most. You can donate directly to Chance's Fund using our 'Canada Helps' form: [https://www.canadahelps.org/en/dn/78921] Or through our website: [https://www.spcamiramichi.com/donate-chances-fund]
We want to help every animal that we can, but we cannot do it with a full shelter and no empty spaces for them. 😞 Please consider adopting one of our beautiful cats. They've waited long enough to finally have a home. <3 Adoption Applications can be found here: https://www.spcamiramichi.com/adoption-fees/
**UPDATE - Both of thesw kittens have found their furever homes, but we still have many who haven't.** Check out our "Animals Currently Available For Adoption" album to see other available cats and kittens. :) Applications can be found herehttps://www.spcamiramichi.com/adoptions-adoption-application/:
Penny is a sweet 2-year-old spayed female that would be best suited in a home without other cats. Despite losing her five kittens to panleukopenia as well as beating the odds against the virus herself, she is not letting it keep her down. While she is a very loving, curious and playful girl, she has been struggling with shelter life due to her aversion to other cats keeping her caged. We all think this poor cat has been through enough in her short life, and hope that she soon finds the furever home she deserves. <3 If you're interested in adopting Penny, our online applications can be found here: https://www.spcamiramichi.com/adoption-fees/
Cha Cha is a beautiful five month-old female who is still looking for her furever home. We could be a little biased, but is she not just the sweetest girl loving on our staff? 🥹 Online applications can be found here: https://www.spcamiramichi.com/adoption-fees/

Learn all about us and what happens behind the scenes to keep our shelter running. Hope to see some of you tonight! 😻
Our Executive Director, Jennifer Arseneault, recently appeared on the CBCListen show Shift - NB with Vanessa Vander Valk. We are extremely grateful to Vanessa for allowing us the opportunity to share our story. You can listen to Jennifer's interview in the video below and head over to www.cbc.ca/listen/live-radio/1-83 for more stories
Come on down to the Food Truck Feastival here in downtown Chatham. We have vendors, an auction, 50/50 tickets, and of course the amazing food trucks! 🤤
We would like to take a moment to give a few shout outs to some awesome folks in our community. First, a big thank you to the MiraCon Festival Association for inviting the Miramichi SPCA to attend Horror Fest this year! We were tasked with putting together a Haunted Tunnel for the event, and got to keep $5 from each admission ticket for the shelter. We are so grateful that as a result, $2000 was raised. Way to go, guys! Secondly, we couldn't have hosted our haunted tunnel without our amazingly dedicated actors/volunteers. So another huge thank you goes out to Jenny Androsoff of Studs & Divas Pet Salon Ltd (for reaching out to us and being the perfect mad scientist), to Sarah Weir (for agreeing to come with her and being downright terrifying in the tunnel!). To Kylee Guimond and Clair Wood, we really hope you got your voices back, and your dedication was amazing! Thank you so much guys! (We attached a video in cased you missed us ;))
Hi there, my name is Aurora! I'm a friendly, fixed, four year-old girl who LOVES pets and to snuggle! I've been at the shelter since last March, but I want to find my furever home so bad, and that isn't going to be easy... You see, I have a condition called FeLv (Leukemia virus), and that means that I can't be around other cats because I might get them sick too. It gets pretty lonely being stuck in my cage by myself, but the best part of most days is when humans come over and say hi! I can't help but purr so big when I'm lucky enough to get pets, it's the best! A lot of people don't bother getting to know me once they hear I'm sick, and it makes me sad, but I do understand. My disease has no cure, and having it means that I could get very sick at any time, OR I could potentially live for years. There's no way of knowing what my future holds. What I do know though, is that I want to spend what time I do have left, however much that may be, loving my very own human and being the best cat ever! ❤️ https://www.spcamiramichi.com/adoption-fees/
We are down to the wire on your last chance to get your Kitty Krates! Tomorrow is the last day for sales and your kitties could be having as much fun as this little one playing with this awesome butterfly toy that is in each of our Krates! Krates are $40 and are packed full of awesome toys for your feisty felines - and a few surprises for their human too (like one free week in our weekly Kitty Kash 50/50 draw!) You can purchase a Krate to help support our shelter on our website - https://www.spcamiramichi.com/events-kitty-krates/, or send us an e-transfer to [email protected] with your name, address, phone number, and email in the memo. Thank you so much for all your support!
