Willow gets a complete shave-down. You may remember several months ago, I was about to record the entire process of shaving down a matted dog, but my clipper stopped working before I even got started (the best time for a clipper to die, rather than half-way through...😬). This is Willow, and I ended up having to reschedule her appointment. I hit the record button on my camera and just let it run until the batteries died. I managed to capture the whole process except for the final few minutes. The original video lasted about 35-40 minutes...I sped it up enough to reduce the time to just a few minutes, but not so fast that you can't see what's happening. This is Willow's complete shave-down. Oh, and take note of not only how beautiful she is, but also how calm and patient she is the whole time. Good girl, Willow! ❤
Sweet little Max doesn't come in very often, but when he does, he makes it worth his while with a total make-over. This is a short before & after video, and you'll also see how happy he is when his dad shows up. ❤
Gizmo loves to dance...lol. This is a video I recorded about two years ago, but "lost" it on my computer somewhere. After posting his bathtub pics the other day, I decided to search high & low, and voila! Here it is... ❤
Luca is very playful after her grooms :-D She gets a couple of treats, then greets her dad at the door :-) (for anyone wondering, I was looking out the window at a squirrel on the front lawn, but i don't think Luca could see it)
...that moment when you're about to give Willow a major makeover, only to realize your clipper doesn't work and you don't have a back-up pair. I had to reschedule her appointment, but I don't think she minded...haha.
Pixel is always a little nervous being up on the table, but watch how over-joyed and grateful she is to be back on the floor when her groom is finished...lol. What a sweet girl :-)
Having fun with Arthur while waiting for his mama to arrive. He was in a playful mood and wasn't interested in any treats. Arthur's just a young pup, not yet a year old. :-)
Little Max is full of energy, and is also the kind of dog who loves to be close to you. He loves treats too ;-)
Lovable Rookie always deserves a treat after her gooms, but she doesn't always seem to think so...lol. :-)
Some dogs love a treat when the groom is done, and some don't, but sweet little Max just couldn't make up his mind. He knew his dad was on the way, and he couldn't take his focus away from the door...lol :-)
Sweet little Rosie was shy, but very cooperative during her very first visit to the groomer. She came in to get cleaned up with a nice bath, and she brought along her favorite toy to keep her company :-)
This handsome guy is Bailey. He came in for a visit, and his coat was in rough shape. Although I wouldn't consider the matting to be severe or extreme, it was bad enough that he had to be shaved down and start with a fresh new coat. Bailey was a real trooper throughout the entire process, and in this video, you'll see a few pics of the matting, a short video clip of the matting being removed, and the end result being his new coat after it had grown back in a couple of months later...back on track! And of course, for being such a good boy, he gets a few treats here and there :-) NOTE: I've never posted pictures or videos of any of the matting I've encountered over the years, so this is a first. This video is purely to demonstrate a bit of the process, and is NOT intended to generate negative comments. Any negative comments will be deleted. Say hello to Bailey, and enjoy the video.
Cute little Jewels. When her grooms are done, she just can't wait for her mama to arrive, and is usually too anxious to take a treat, but on this day, she must have been a little hungry...lol. Good girl, Jewels :-)
Gypsy is a bit too rambunctious for me to groom fully, but she's a good girl when she drops by periodically to get her hind quarters cleaned up. She's a sweet girl, full of energy, and loves to have a treat when we're done :-)
This beautiful girl is Willow. At 11 months old, this was her first "official" haircut. She was full of energy and worked up an appetite for a few treats the day she came in for a visit :D
This is Bree getting a treat. It was her very first visit to a groomer to get a Bath & Tidy. I had a hard time keeping my camera lens clean during this clip, but as her mama would say, it's a good thing she's cute 😂 ...and indeed, Bree is a cutie!! :-)
This handsome guy is Stewie. He's getting his thick coat dried, and deserves a treat for being such a good boy :D Stewie also has a message for his mom today :-)
Who's chasing who??? Polar is a little rascal, so he gets a treat 😁 This is a repost from a few yrs ago when Polar and I engaged in some "pre-groom" exercise 🐕🏃😂
Chuck is a very friendly laid back fella who is also a little on the shy side, but not too shy for a treat or two. I love that! :-)
Lexie is a senior girl, but not too senior to come in to freshen up with a Bath & Tidy. What a sweet girl she is, and she's loving some treats. :-)
