Both our mission stores are locally owned and operated by families that live in Mission and Maple Ridge. We support local organizations such as Fraser Valley Humane Society and SAINTS on a regular basis. We also support many local charities and children’s sports teams throughout the year.
The Pet Valu family of stores is proud to be a Canadian company. We were founded in Toronto in 1976 and today we have over 700 locally owned and operated stores in hundreds of urban and rural communities across Canada. Our stores, our headquarters in Markham, ON, and our distribution centres in Brampton, ON, Calgary, AB and Surrey, BC are staffed by local Animal Care Experts who are passionate about serving you and your pets.
Like you, we’re committed to supporting Canadians and our stores carry a wide variety of made in Canada products and Canadian brands. Whether you’re visiting us in store or online, we’ve introduced signage to make it as easy as possible for you to find Canadian-made products for your pets. If you’re switching your pet to a Canadian option, our Animal Care Experts will help you find a product that is right for them.
In true Canadian fashion, we’ve always believed in coming together to support Canadians in need. Since 2010, through our Companions for Change™ program, we’ve raised over $32 million for Canadian animal rescues, shelters and charities across and have helped more than 51,000 homeless pets find their forever homes in hundreds of communities across Canada. Through Companions for Change we’ve also provided sponsorships that have helped much deserving Canadian animal organizations achieve large capital projects including mobile spay, neuter and health services, adoption centres and animal transport vehicles.
