Update on kitty with broken tibia: cast off 9 days, laser therapy, stretching, creative kitten play to encourage proper muscle use and she is making huge gains in flexibility and muscle mass.
Bernie is going home today!!!
His remarkable will to thrive and all of his hard work while he has been with us for the past month has paid off. He came to us unable to walk on his own, knuckling when we assisted him, unable to stand on his own and very depressed to now where he is fully capable and so much stronger. Bernie has enjoyed his stay at K9 Rehab and living on our farm, we are going to miss this big guy and his loving personality. What an incredible outcome and heart filled experience.
Positive Steps for Bernie
Bernie’s progressing very well and having more positive moments each day.
He even played with Loki with his pillow last evening- so special to watch.
This video shows he is properly placing his paws while walking (prior he was knuckling under) and he can stand on his own for more extended periods of time. Bernie is still needing his Help em Up harness and his Dr Buzby toe grips are protecting the worn nails that were bleeding from his knuckling.
