I love it when pet parents hand out pupcakes to the dogs in their neighbourhood or local dog park to celebrate their dog’s birthday.

Reminds me of when I used to take donuts to school on my birthday to give to all my friends 💙

Short Story:

It’s Friday evening, you’ve been working all day and didn’t have time for lunch.

You stop by The Puppy Bakery to pick up your dog’s pupcakes for his birthday party this weekend.

The box of pupcakes is on the passenger seat beside you on the drive home.

You are so hungry and can’t stop thinking about food. The box catches your attention. How bad could dog frosting be you wonder.

Then you remember that Rish said that there’s no sugar in them and only consist of human ingredients.

The next day your dog celebrates his birthday with nothing but balloons because you ate all 6 pupcakes.

You wake up in a panic and realize that you are in bed- that you did not eat the dog’s special treats. It was just a not-so-funny dream.

You email The Puppy Bakery and confirm your order pick up for later that day.

The end.

Rosette Cake for Dogs.

You can choose two colors- one for each of the bottom two layers of rosettes. The top layer will be white- as seen in the picture.

We have seen that most dog owners seem to love an ombré effect (same color but different shades) with these cakes 😍

PUPCAKE TIP 🐶🧁

Whenever I serve Opie a pupcake, she tries to gobble the entire thing down at once. No chewing, just swallowing.

So I changed up the routine.

Now, she has to sit patiently until I give her the command to eat. During this time I take all the pictures and videos that I want, and then remove the liner and slice the pupcake before serving it to her.

✨Dog Cake Tip

After taking pictures of your dog with his/her cake (including shots of them digging into the cake), slice it up into an appropriate size (depending on your dog’s build/weight)

Although we would love to, most of us humans wouldn’t eat an entire cake in one sitting right? The same concept applies to your dog. The difference is that they will eat the whole thing in one sitting, but shouldn’t.

I recommend slicing up leftovers and freezing individually so that you don’t have to thaw the whole thing next time!

Pupcakes or Dog cakes?

I was on Reddit today and came across a post about dog cakes. Someone commented saying that a dog does not need a cake. It is an animal and does not care about cakes and birthdays.

This got me thinking. Cakes are not a necessity for humans, however, we have cake and cupcakes present whenever we celebrate a joyful moment in our life.

So, it makes a lot sense that we would want our dog, who is family, to take part in the tradition of enjoying beautiful baked goods on a special day.

If I had to use one word to describe what I feel while watching Opie eat a pupcake, it would be “happy”

Pure Happiness.
