✨Meet The Staff✨
Teresa first came to the Clarkson Village Animal Hospital as a concerned pet owner bringing her pup for an overnight emergency. The experienced, patient, and kind team made a memorable first impression on her and, years later, she returned to Clarkson as a co-op student from Sheridan College's Animal Care program. Upon graduation, Teresa joined the team as an Animal Care Attendant to further her knowledge and skills caring for critical patients in pursuit of her ultimate career goal in wildlife rehabilitation.

✨Meet The Team✨ While enrolled in Sheridan College’s Animal Care program, Amber did a placement at Clarkson Village Animal Hospital. Upon graduating in 2021, she joined the hospital full-time. She feels very supported by her teammates and finds joy in working with them every day. She loves animals and taking part in keeping them happy and healthy. Amber has a special interest in surgery and has been training to be a surgery ACA in our hospital.

When she’s not working, Amber loves to spend time at home with her 3 Savannah cats and Domestic longhair. They are nervous with new people but are very attached to her.

When moving into the new facility our team took the time to dedicate an exam room to our feline patients. We equipped it with a cat scratcher, cat tree, Feliway defuser and salmon bites to ensure a happy visit every time. That aside, sometimes all a furry little feline wants is a small sink to make themselves at home in 😂 Thank you Adelaide & Alberta, beautiful Main C**n sisters, for making the entire team fall in love 😍

✨Meet The Team✨ Kiyoko Czibere is a high honour graduate from Sheridan College in 2015 and became registered the same year. Since then, she has worked in various hospitals including emergency, spay and neuter, small animal and referral.

Her special interests include anesthesia and dentistry as well as nutrition, canine behaviour, and hand-raising neonatal puppies. She takes amazing care of all of her patients and ensures they are kept comfortable during their stay with us. She is currently Fear-Free Certified Level 2 and is also REVIVE CPR certified.

Kiyoko is our Nutritional Advocate and Inventory Manager. She loves to help train, and educate, and has been a great asset to our technician team.

As a pet lover, Kiyoko has four dogs of her own, including two Mastiffs and two Cocker Spaniels, one of which is blind from birth.

This specialized area within our facility was designed to provide a sterile and controlled environment to ensure the safety and well being of both the patient and the surgical team. This is Prea! Her owner got her DNA tested and her results are back ! She is at an increased risk for primary lens luxation. Prea may be a mixed breed with all small dogs but she is a big dog at heart! Have a happy life Prea 🐶

✨ Meet The Team ✨ Michelle graduated from Sheridan’s college Animal Care program in 2020. Michelle got into veterinary medicine in hopes of getting her registered tech license. She has dual roles at Clarkson Village Animal Hospital, being both an animal care attendant and a client care representative, both of which she enjoys being able to help clients and animals during their trip to the vet. In Michelle’s free time, she enjoys going on hikes with her dog Finn, cuddling with her cat Casey or spending time with friends.

✨Meet The Team✨ Sam joined Clarkson Village Animal Hospital in 2020 after her veterinary technician field placement. She graduated from Sheridan College’s Veterinary Technician program in 2021. Sam was an ACA for 5 years and decided in 2019 to return to school because she loves the veterinary field and wanted to make a career out of it. She enjoys nutritional consultations with our clients and further expanding her own knowledge. What she loves most about her job are the amazing animals and their parents as well as the great team she gets to work with every day!

On her days off she likes to play video games and spend time with friends and family. She has 2 cats and 3 dogs of her own.

✨Meet The Team✨ Sophie graduated from the University of Guelph Ridgetown Veterinary Technician program in 2021 and joined Clarkson Village Animal Hospital in May 2022.

Sophie has loved animals since she could talk and always had animals around her. She has a variety of pets including toads, hamsters, fish, cats and dogs.

In her downtime, you can find her catching up on shows with her fuzzy friends by her side like Phoebe her cat!

✨Meet The Staff✨ In 2018, Sasha graduated with a Bachelor of Honors in Biology from the University of Western Ontario. She later joined the Clarkson Village Animal Hospital team in September 2021.

Sasha has always loved animals, but since her family are not fans, this prevented her from bringing home every dog she met! She comes to CVAH to get her daily dose of snuggles and cuddles while at work.

In her spare time, she loves being around her friends and going on hikes.

Pig came in for an Embark test and his results are back! Pig is a pure bred American Bully! He was rescued from a shelter after having a rough start to life. Now that he's in a home that loves him and wants the best for him, his fur mum wanted to give him the best start to life. She heard about our genetic testing and wanted to check to see if he is at an increased risk for any illnesses. As it turns out, Pig is. He is at an increased risk for developing mast cell tumors. His owner now knows that she has to be dillegent in checking him from head to toe, to make sure we catch any and all lumps early for diagnostic testing!
Phew we are glad we caught this early and now can prevent this with early intervention.

One of our regular clients came in for routine 4DX bloodwork today & tested positive for Lyme disease. Ticks are becoming more prevalent within this area as the warmer weather sets in. It is due to this that we stress to our clients the benefits of year round prevention for your furry loved ones!
