I wanted to take a minute to say thank you to all the stores who came out the frag show a couple weeks ago!

There were so many great set-ups! Thanks doing the tough work of packing your Corals, setting up temporary holding tanks and slinging coral an dry goods all day :)

Thanks to aka for helping us hand out snack bags to all the vendors at the show and for carrying the heavy box 📦

I can’t wait for the next coral show in the GTA, see everyone there!

The final episode of the series and in this episode the audience get their chance to ask any questions they have for the panel. From the impact of global warming on our coral reefs to if we should water change or not.

It’s also important to note the amazing work done by and for Mental Health. A percentage of tickets sales from the show, went to the mental Health Organization MIND.

The event managed to raise a whopping £3070. This money will be put towards a total of 68 therapy sessions for families that require them, specifically in our local areas of Harlow and Epping Forest.

One of our stores Joe’s Piece of the Reef, stopped in for a quick training on using the Hanna checkers to measure copper in his fish system.

Always happy to help, Miss Val took the time to walk through the process to ensure he had no questions and could confidently use the checkers to maintain and dose his system accurately.

Did you know that men aren’t able to distinguish fine graduations of colour as well as women, mixing that fact with the blue lights in a fish room, we find that using Hanna Checkers for parameters such as;
Copper
Nitrate
Phosphate
Is super helpful.

When visited this summer, we sent a Canadian representative back with them, in octopus form.
