STANDARD POODLE MIX NEEDS A FOSTER!

Please care and share for Willie. We thought we had a foster line up but things have unfortunately fallen through. He's currently up in the North Bay area but we have drivers on stand-by to get him to a foster home. He's been living outside and needs to find a warm and loving home - ideally a Foster-to-Adopt home. Our friends at SPIN are at capacity and know that we are on the job!

Bonnie & Clyde are a bonded pair of cinnamon green-cheeked conures who are guilty of only one crime: being absolutely adorable!! These two cuties are inseparable partners and like to spend their days chattering, singing and zipping around their cage like tiny feathered acrobats! Bonnie & Clyde love each other deeply and are looking for an adoptive home together. They will not be separated. Their genders and ages are unknown but we believe they're young adults. The number 18 on each of their bands likely corresponds to a 2018 birth year. (FYI blood testing is required to gender a green-cheeked conure).

While they are not hand-tame (yet!), they have big potential with the right conure-savvy person. Right now, they prefer to keep a respectful distance from humans and are happiest when people admire their antics from outside of their cage. They are joyful, busy, beautiful, independent birds and are hoping someone will enjoy observing them rather than touching them - at least for the first little while. They're looking for a home that will give them lots of space, enrichment and love... even if it's from a few inches away. Ready to add a little mischief, melody and movement to your home? Adopt Bonnie & Clyde!!

Adoption fee is $300 for the pair. Click her to adopt them: https://adopt.adopets.com/pet/c290fbc6-daf3-4873-8eef-cd3c024c3411?tracking=4abc0390-66f3-4986-a71c-2c9f21cc9117

Jimmy - has been adopted!

Terrier Mix - Male - 10 lbs- 1 yr (approx)

Sponsored by Lil, in memory of our third beagle, Ms. Maggie.

Jimmy is a 1 year old terrier mix that will melt your heart with his soulful eyes. He has a gentle spirit, and has been showing his playful side as he becomes comfortable in his foster home. He gets along with his foster fur sister and looks to her for guidance, and ignores cats.

He is a shy boy that takes time to warm up to people, and children are a bit too unpredictable for him, so an adult home would be preferred. Once he bonds with his person, wants nothing more than to be by your side all day, snuggling and giving kisses.

Jimmy loves his walks but is nervous and hides behind his foster mom when meeting people and dogs. He is starting to enjoy traveling in the car and is always up for an adventure.

He has not asked to go outside, but has been good with routine. Jimmy is crated when his foster mom is out, and during mealtimes. The crate is a safe space for him and at times will go in on his own.

Jimmy has shown himself to be an adaptable, go with the flow guy. He enjoys the company of other small dogs, though would not mind being your one and only. A fenced in yard would be great.

When Jimmy arrived into rescue, his foster mom immediately noticed that he had an area of swelling just under his bum. While it has gotten smaller over time, it is still there. Jimmy did see the veterinarian and a thorough examination did not give us any answers as to what was causing this. The swelling is intermittently “poofy” or “firm” and thus, has earned Jimmy the nickname “poofy butt”.

Jimmy spent a day at Kingsdale Animal Clinic where he could be closely observed and to facilitate having x-rays done at just the right time. Jimmy’s x-rays were normal. Consultation and research on a veterinarian forum did find one other similar case and it too was described as a “poofy butt” of unknown cause.

Most importantly, things such as a hernia have been ruled out. Jimmy’s vet feels that this is most likely some excess fat and that it is just an anatomical anomaly. It does not cause Jimmy any discomfort or issues.

Enjoy a video of sweet Jimmy : https://youtu.be/0rOUN_YLmRk?si=DMjfOYalBGoC5Odl

This pint-sized Prince Charming is now ready for his forever family.
