The holidays are almost here, and so is our chance to rest up like your snoozing fur-babies!

We will be closed from December 25th until January 2nd, so don’t forget to stock up on your pet’s food and medications before the festivities begin. Be sure to get your orders in by December 17th!

📢 Lyme Disease Alert!

We’ve seen a big increase in Lyme disease cases in 2024, with 12 dogs diagnosed at our clinic so far. This dangerous tick-borne illness can cause kidney damage and joint pain in dogs — and can even infect people.

🛑 Prevention Tips:

Check regularly: Inspect your pets (and yourself!) after walks.

Year-round protection: Keep dogs and outdoor cats on tick prevention all year.

Annual test: Dogs should be tested yearly (there is no reliable test for cats yet).

Tick Tool: A Tick Twister helps remove visible ticks, but nymphs can be as tiny as a poppy seed!

Did you know cats are full of surprises? Here are some fun facts that will make you love your feline friend even more:

1️⃣ Whisker Wonders: Cats’ whiskers aren’t just cute—they help them measure spaces! Whiskers are as wide as their body, so they know if they can fit through tight spots.

2️⃣ Night Vision Ninjas: Cats can see in almost total darkness. Their eyes are built for the night! 🌙

3️⃣ Toe Beans for Days: Most cats have 18 toes (5 on the front, 4 on the back), but some are born with extra toes! These kitties are called polydactyls - Kirby in the photo is one of them! 🐾

4️⃣ Purring Power: Cats purr not only when they’re happy but also to calm themselves or heal! Purring has been linked to promoting bone and tissue repair. 💖

5️⃣ Nap Champions: Cats can sleep for up to 16 hours a day. 😴 Dreaming of mice and sunny spots!
