About every month or so I drive to Bognor and deliver an elderly couple their dog food. They live alone and have had some recent health issues requiring them to need an extra set of hands around the house. They are the most kind hearted people I've ever met and the stories I get to listen to are worth more then gold. Every few months I run their dogs to the vets for their check ups and medications. I med them. Cut their nails and take them for baths at the shop...I don't ask for a dime..their time and kind words are worth more to me. I've been doing this for 5 years and they have become like family to me..the grandparents I never really had. If you ever get the chance to go to the Tom Thomspon Art gallery in town, you will see numerous world class paintings of animals done by the legend himself, Mr George. His paintings are breathtaking and can be found all over the world. He will be 85 next month and has lived a great deal of his life here just outside Owen Sound. I've been honoured to be part of their lives and help care for their 2 wonderful dogs. Respect and kindness go along way. Community is super important to me....
