n the family but somehow always find themselves coming up short in achieving the well balanced dog they had in mind when first considering getting the dog.Notice I didn't say obedient,that's because even an obedient dog doesn't necessarily mean that he deals well with kids,strangers,other dogs,loud noises etc. New home....new rules!The unfortunate part is our hearts and need to fawn over our new member of the family trumps any sense of the dogs need for structure and guidance in these first few moments in its new environment. Calling all obstacle course fans! The Ontario SPCA Barrie Animal Centre has partnered with Ruff Mudder!

The Ruff Mudder™ is a 5.5km cross country obstacle adventure which has you and your dog traverse over 80 amazing obstacles. It takes place just outside of Stayner Ontario and is designed for all fitness levels. This event is about taking your time and making great memories with your dog. This is an "anti race" as we encourage you to stop along route, enjoy the sky, chase a butterfly and breathe in the beauty - before you slip down into the next mud pit.
