Roxy 9 days PostOp
Well!!! We're excited!! And weâd like to share what is happening at Figue & Pepper
ZLIG (pronounced ZED-LIG) Cruciate Ligament Replacement
Last week, we hosted the North American Eickemeyer team along with Dr. Phillipe, who developed the technique alongside Dr Jacques-Phillipe Laboureau, the creator of the LARS ligament, and Dr Sophie from France. They came to train Figue & Pepper's Dr. Chantal Rittwage on this revolutionary ZLIG procedure, that in most cases replaces the TPLO procedure. This procedure has been done on dogs and cats in Germany and France since 2005 with great success.
Watch Roxy's video 9 day post surgery below. She is one of the first two patients Dr Rittwage has performed this surgery on.
Dr Rittwage is among only 5 surgeons in North America and the only one in New Brunswick trained to offer this surgery. How awesome is that?
Is your dog a good candidate for ZLIG?
