For those of you seeking a Puppy Program now that our daycare has temporarily closed its doors 💜

Did you know 🌸

The first 4 months of a puppies life is the critical period of socialization! Socialization includes not only other people and dogs, but all novel stimuli.

Between 4-6 months our puppy friends transition from puppy hood to adolescence. Having structure and a good routine is fundamental for a smooth transition.

Our Puppy Spaw Program holds this knowledge at its core. We're here to provide socialization and routine so your puppy has that structure in this vital period of growth.

Our goal is to create a community of dogs who aren't afraid of grooming, while also putting more well socialized pups in the neighbourhood. 🌸

For those of you missing out on our Puppy Program, Boutique Charming et Ko is offering an amazing alternative 💜🌸

🌸 Introducing The Puppy Spaw 🌸

This program was created to expose puppies to a grooming environment during the prime time in their development. We work on a series of confidence building exercises over the course of a month to help ensure longterm comfort with grooming maintenance.

This includes helping puppies acclimate to toothbrushes, nail clippers, dremel, brushing, baths and more. Our space allows your puppy to socialize, encouraging physical, mental and intellectual stimulation. Our end goal is to help you on your path to a well-rounded and confident adult dog, by giving you all the tools you need to accomplish this.

Crate training is done throughout the day to meet the requirements for sleep at their age. We work using force free methods and positive reinforcement, with a background deeply rooted in a scientific approach to pet care.

Our spa open up opportunities for access to a wonderful social structure for your pup, in a safe and controlled environment. Our primary focus is the wellbeing and hygiene of your furry friend. We reward positive behaviour, and consistent stimulation at our spa can have additional benefits such as minimizing destructive habits at home.

🌸 Introduction au programme de toilettage des chiots 🌸

Ce programme a été créé pour exposer les chiots à un environnement de toilettage pendant la période la plus propice de leur développement. Nous travaillons sur une série d'exercices de mise en confiance sur une période d'un mois pour aider à assurer un confort à long terme avec l'entretien de toilettage.

Il s'agit notamment d'aider les chiots à s'acclimater aux brosses à dents, coupe-ongles, dremel, brossage, bains et autres. Notre espace permet à votre chiot de socialiser, en encourageant la stimulation physique, mentale et intellectuelle. Notre objectif final est de vous aider sur la voie d'un chien adulte équilibré et confiant, en vous donnant tous les outils dont vous avez besoin pour y parvenir.

L'apprentissage de la cage se fait tout au long de la journée afin de répondre aux besoins de sommeil à leur âge. Nous travaillons en utilisant des méthodes sans force et le renforcement positif, avec une expérience profondément ancrée dans une approche scientifique des soins aux animaux.

Notre spa ouvre des possibilités d'accès à une structure sociale merveilleuse pour votre chiot, dans un environnement sûr et contrôlé. Notre objectif principal est le bien-être et l'hygiène de votre ami à fourrure. Nous récompensons les comportements positifs, et une stimulation constante à notre spa peut avoir des avantages supplémentaires tels que la réduction des habitudes destructives à la maison.

This will be the newest business to take over our old location 💜

We may have been unable to break our lease, but we used this as an opportunity to expand in realm of pet care.

We are still actively seeking a new daycare and are working with a real estate agent to find a fitting location for the scouts. 🌸

Grooming can be a frightening experience for dogs, but it doesn't have to be.

Our spa focuses on desensitizing dogs to common stimuli found in grooming environments. Desensitization is the process of introducing a dog to new stimuli by working slowly and at the dogs pace. This allows your dog to safely adjust to something he may not have been comfortable with before.

This experience is designed to stimulate your dog mentally, physically and intellectually. Between grooming exercises, we allow our pups to socialize in a controlled environment. This adds to the spa benefit of promoting mental wellbeing. Consistent stimulation helps reduce destructive habits and promote better behaviour.

Some of our current services include:

🌸 Nail clipping
🌸 Desensitization to nail clippers and dremel
🌸 Fur maintenance and matting prevention
🌸 Dental hygiene
🌸 Socialization and stimulation
🌸 Bath and blow dry (coming soon)
🌸 Desensitization to grooming table, bathtub and blow drier.
🌸 Touching ears, paws and tail
🌸 Puppy grooming introduction

👉 We do not currently provide cuts and trims. We intend to offer this service in the near future once we have a certified behavioural groomer. This is an uncommon and new approach, so limited people are qualified.

We are fear free certified and use force free methods with a background rooted in a scientific approach to pet care.

We are located at 6244 Sherbrooke Street West and our launch date is set for Monday, January 17.

Every dog in our care must undergo an evaluation. Evaluations are completely free of charge and are for the safety of our dogs and staff.

We gave our oath that we are still actively searching for a new daycare for her and her friends.

There's a lot to fix behind the scenes to ensure every client, dog and employee will be happy. We're not rushing into anything, but are excited for the upcoming changes we hope January will bring.

ANNOUNCEMENT❗

As some of you may know, our founder .j.thayer has partnered with to turn the old daycare into a pet spa and boutique. This exciting new venture is set to launch VERY soon. While we don't want to spill too many details on this page, we do want to encourage you to follow to show this new company all the love and support that you have shown the scouts.

The boutique will specialize in enrichment, highlighting the importance of mental stimulation. 💯

The spa will center around desensitizing dogs to Grooming tools. It is a force free and fear free space! 🥰

It's the same family. The same love, care and enthusiasm, but it is a whole new adventure that we hope you'll join us on. 💕

Please note that in the meantime, we are still rigorously working to have a new daycare space for the new year. This is becoming more of a reality every day, and progress is being made. We're hoping to have good news for you all by next week.
