She went missing in hudson two days ago.
We miss her very much and we are in a lot of distress.

En novembre 2021, le MAPAQ émet un constat d’infraction afin de nous forcer à apposer des étiquettes aux oreilles de nos résidents.

La procédure pour poser les étiquettes est douloureuse et peut leur causer des complications de santé. En plus, ces étiquettes sont complètement inutiles, car nos résidents ne finiront jamais dans des assiettes, l'objectif des sanctuaires pour animaux étant de les sortir du cycle d’exploitation animale.

Nous comprenons les objectifs de traçabilité et de santé publique, mais nos animaux ne sont pas concernés par ces objectifs. Nous avons proposé des alternatives au MAPAQ pour identifier nos animaux, comme la micropuce, utilisée pour identifier d’autres animaux de compagnie tels que les chiens et les chats, mais celles-ci ont été refusées.

Nous avons contesté le constat d’infraction en Cour du Québec et un procès s’est tenu en mars 2023, sans succès. Nous nous tournons désormais vers la Cour Supérieure du Québec afin d’obtenir Justice pour nos êtres animaux.

L’appel devant la Cour Supérieure du Québec aura lieu le 13 août 2024, au Palais de justice de Cowansville, à la salle 1.01. Vous pouvez assister à l’audience (en personne seulement)

In November 2021, MAPAQ issued a notice of violation to force us to place tags on our residents' ears.

The procedure for placing the tags is painful and can cause them health complications. Moreover, these tags are completely unnecessary since our residents will never end up on plates; the goal of animal sanctuaries is to remove them from the cycle of animal exploitation.

We understand the objectives of traceability and public health, but our animals are not concerned by these objectives. We proposed alternatives to MAPAQ to identify our animals, such as microchips used to identify other pets like dogs and cats, but these were refused.

We challenged the notice of violation in the Court of Quebec, and a trial was held in March 2023, without success. We are now turning to the Superior Court of Quebec to obtain justice for our animal beings.

The appeal before the Superior Court of Quebec will take place on August 13, 2024, at the Cowansville courthouse, in room 1.01. You can attend the hearing (in person only)

Lucky et Simon sont bien tristes d'être encore ici, et nous aussi ça nous fait de la peine de voir qu'il n'y a pas ou presque pas d'intérêt pour eux.

Oui, ils ont 11 et 12 ans. Mais ils sont encore plein d'énergie et ont encore la joie de vivre ! 😁

Oui, ils ont les dents usées par la vie. Par contre, ils ont une dentisterie qui est comprise avec l'adoption (chirurgies valant plusieurs centaines de dollars) . 🦷

Oui, nous insistons pour qu'ils soient adoptés ensemble. Ce sont des petits chiens qui s'adorent et ça nous briserait le cœur de les séparer. 💔

Les deux sont tellement adorables, affectueux. Ils sont faciles à vivre et nous sommes certains qu'ils seront très reconnaissants envers la famille qui leur offriront une belle retraite.

URGENT FUNDRAISER- Funds Needed for Zazzles.

This beautiful guy is named Zazzles. Last week, he suddenly took ill and was diagnosed with non-regenerative anemia. He lost half his red cell count in 2 days. To save him, he needs expensive treatment or he will not make it.

Cats normally have good outcomes with treatment but the process is very expensive and includes multiple blood transfusions, hospitalization, ultrasounds, blood tests, IV fluids and more.

Zazzle spent the first few days at her local vet where he was hospitalized. He has now been transferred to the CHUV so that he can receive the extensive care he needs.

Zazzle has had a blood transfusion and responded well to that. There is a small improvement and he is starting to show an interest in food. He may have another transfusion this week and will have many tests. They are also trying to find out the underlying cause of this. So far there are no signs of cancer. It could be an infection so they are investigating at the same time as treating him.

Zazzle is so loved by him mom, Laura Lev who has spent her entire savings of $3,900.00 so far on the vet bills. It's estimated that there will be an additional $4,000 to $6,000 to pay when this treatment ends. Thankfully, she is permitted to pay this at the end but Laura does not have the funds to cover this. So fundraising is vital. She will not let Zazzles die without doing her utmost to save him.

I think this is a pet owner's greatest nightmare. Facing sky high vet bills to save our fur babies.

Levée de fonds urgente- Besoin de fonds pour Zazzles.

Ce magnifique chat s'appelle Zazzles. La semaine dernière, il est tombé subitement malade et on lui a diagnostiqué une anémie non régénérative. Il a perdu la moitié de ses globules rouges en deux jours. Pour le sauver, il a besoin d'un traitement coûteux.

Les chats ont normalement de bons résultats avec le traitement, mais le processus est très coûteux et comprend de multiples transfusions sanguines, l'hospitalisation, des échographies, des tests sanguins, des fluides intraveineux et bien d'autres choses encore.

Zazzle a passé les premiers jours chez son vétérinaire local où il a été hospitalisé. Il a maintenant été transféré au CHUV afin de recevoir les soins intensifs dont il a besoin.

Zazzle a reçu une transfusion sanguine à laquelle il a bien réagi. Il y a une petite amélioration et il commence à s'intéresser à la nourriture. Il est possible qu'il reçoive une autre transfusion cette semaine et qu'il subisse de nombreux tests. Ils essaient également de trouver la cause sous-jacente de cette maladie. Jusqu'à présent, il n'y a aucun signe de cancer. Il pourrait s'agir d'une infection, c'est pourquoi ils enquêtent en même temps qu'ils le soignent.

Zazzle est très aimé par sa mère, Laura Lev qui a dépensé toutes ses économies, soit 3 900 dollars, pour payer les factures du vétérinaire. On estime qu'elle devra encore débourser entre 4 000 et 6 000 dollars à la fin du traitement. Elle est autorisée à payer cette somme à la fin du traitement, mais Laura n'a pas les fonds nécessaires pour le faire. La collecte de fonds est donc vitale. Elle ne laissera pas Zazzles mourir sans faire tout son possible pour le sauver.

Je pense que c'est le plus grand des cauchemars pour les propriétaires d'animaux de compagnie. Faire face à des factures de vétérinaire astronomiques pour sauver nos bébés à fourrure.

Je publierai quelques factures de vétérinaires et des mises à jour régulières. Si vous le pouvez, faites un don. Zazzles est entre de bonnes mains à l'hôpital et mérite une chance de se battre pour retrouver la santé.

UP FOR ADOPTION - Skittles is a multicoloured 6 year old male, in need of a loving home. He is a little shy at first but give him a little time to warm up and his sweet side shines through. Will always fall for a good basket, box, bag or bin.

Once he accepts your affection, he can really get into it and start head butting and rubbing.

He is used to a busy house with children and dogs but has a low tolerance for sticking around if it gets too rowdy.

When in the mood, he will happily curl up beside you for a comfy snooze.

Skittles lives with his brother Storm but they are not closely bonded so he can be adopted on his own.

Skittles is a very healthy boy. He is sterilized and up-to-date on his vaccines.

Une fois qu'il accepte votre affection, il peut vraiment s'y mettre et commencer à donner des coups de tête et à se frotter.

Il est habitué à une maison animée avec des enfants et des chiens, mais il ne tolère pas de rester dans les parages si la situation devient trop chahuteuse.

Il se blottira volontiers contre vous pour faire un petit somme confortable quand il sera d'humeur.

Skittles vit avec son frère Storm mais il peut être adopté seul.

UP FOR ADOPTION - Storm is a handsome 6 year old grey and white male. He's very affectionate and enjoys playing and receiving lots of love.

He's extremely soft and fluffy so luckily he enjoys a good brushing except on his belly. He's great with children and also has lived with a spunky dog.

Any lap in the household is soon to be visited by Storm.

URGENT - Long-term Foster Family Needed

Sweet La Vache showed up at a feral colony around 5 or 6 years ago and has been living on the streets ever since. Obviously abandoned, he is extremely friendly and loving. He loves to be pet and brushed but he remains homeless.

He is being fed by the colony caregiver but needs to be off the street. Life has not been easy for him. He has tested positive for FIV. With FIV, La Vache can live a full, long life but it must be as an indoor cat. His immune system is compromised, meaning he is susceptible to infections from an outdoor environment. Inside, he can thrive.

This extremely handsome fella will bring love and enjoyment to a good home. Any and all veterinary care will be paid for by the dedicated colony caregiver so there will be no costs to be incurred by the foster family.

URGENT - Besoin d'une famille d'accueil à long terme

Le beau La Vache est arrivé dans une colonie de chats sauvages il y a environ 5 ou 6 ans et vit dans la rue depuis. Manifestement abandonné, il est extrêmement amical et affectueux.

Il adore être caressé et brossé, mais il reste sans abri. Il est nourri par la personne qui s'occupe de la colonie, mais il a besoin de quitter la rue. La vie n'a pas été facile pour lui. Il a été testé positif au FIV. Avec le FIV, La Vache peut vivre une vie longue, mais il doit rester à l'intérieur. Son système immunitaire est compromis, ce qui signifie qu'il est susceptible de contracter des infections dans un environnement extérieur.

Ce très beau chat apportera amour et plaisir à un bon foyer. Tous les soins vétérinaires seront pris en charge par le responsable de la colonie, de sorte que la famille d'accueil n'aura pas de frais à engager.

URGENT - Temporary foster needed - Approx 2 month period

Due to the housing crisis and some unforeseen circumstances, Misty's owner is experiencing homelessness. He is working to find a stable living situation for himself, but his primary concern at the moment is ensuring the safety and well-being of his beloved cat.

This is absolutely urgent, as Misty is staying at his friend's but only for a few days. Misty is 1 year old and does not deserve to be brought to the SPCA which is already beyond capacity.

Her owner has a tentative place lined up. It is estimated that a foster be needed for a 2 month period maximum.

Misty is extremely affectionate and gentle. She will fit into just about any household. I don't think she has been around dogs or other cats but she is docile.

URGENT LONG-TERM FOSTER NEEDED

Meet Freebird!

Freebird is a 15 yr old pit mix who has lived on the streets of Montreal most of her life. Unfortunately her owner is no longer able to care for her.

Freebird needs a long term foster. A home where she can feel safe, rested, and can enjoy being cared for. She is ok with cats but she wants her space from other dogs and kids, they are too much for her. She loves going on walks (when it’s not too hot or cold out) and car rides are her favorite!

With all these changes in her life, she does have separation anxiety which is slowly getting better. Ideally she will be with someone who is home a lot.

Her foster will need to be able to take her for vet visits in Lasalle and be able to give her medication. The rescue Rescue All Dogs (RAD) will take care of all costs associated for her needs. They will make all appointments around the long-term foster's schedule. She has been vaccinated.

They have a whole team that will help. Freebird has not had it easy. She is so deserving to be in a home, to receive attention and care. If you are interested and have any further questions please email [email protected]
