Petunia Update! With a great amount of teamwork Petunia is now in NDG where tomorrow a surgeon will examine and assess Petunia's severed tail under sedation. She will then be going to a longer term foster family until she is ready for adoption. Petunia will likely need an amputation of the tip of the remaining tail but we will know more tomorrow. This has been quite the urgent situation because infection could set in which would be very dangerous. So thankful for everyone who brought this plan to fruition and last but definitely not least to all the people who donated to Precious, the little angel who passed away before we were able to save her. By allowing PetitsPawz to keep the funds and use them for another kitty in Precious' honour, we are able to help Petunia. This is a perfect example of teamwork. I am so grateful and so is Petunia. Updates to follow!

Christmas Miracle - For those interested, Erin whose dog Max went missing for 2 weeks was interviewed on CTV Montreal last night. You can see it there or watch it here as we recorded it. So happy for Erin, Max and all those who helped!

MDB started as a charity-driven, volunteer web blog (www.montrealdogblog.com) in 2010 to provide an informative, educational space for Montreal pet owners.

It featured multiple bloggers, volunteering their expertise in a range of topics: vet care, training, โ€˜greenโ€™ pet care, rescue news, grooming, life with pets in general. As well as providing local listings/ads for pet services.

All revenue generated by the blog was donated at the end of the year to local rescues (โ€œPaw It Forwardโ€ campaign). To date, that has been approx $40 000.

The blog officially retired in August 2019 - but remains a strong community-based fixture on Facebook and continues to raise funds for animal rescues.
