🌱Did you know fibre is just as important to your dogs diet as it is to yours?

Just like humans, dogs need to feed the vast variety of microorganisms living in their gut. To ensure a healthy gut micro biome it’s critical that they eat lots of fiber.

Fiber is ONLY found in plant foods.

Since dogs have been living with humans for over 30,000 years their bodies have adapted to digest starches. They have starch digesting enzymes that wolves lack. It is presumed that the starch in their diet from eating cooked plants is what lead to their brain development and the reason why dogs are more intelligent than wolves.

Find a nutritionally complete plant based food for your pup and give lots of whole plant based foods as treats.

Mr.Grey has been eating a plant based diet for 5 years. When we adopted him he was only 1year old and already overweight heading towards obesity. We changed his diet to a vegan cat food, we gave him both moist and dry food each day. It’s very important to always feed cats some moist food daily, as this will prevent Urinary issues which are the most common ailment cats struggle with.

Mr.Grey is now a healthy weight and super fit! He currently eats homemade moist foods that are soy based high in proteins and fully complete with VGRRR supplement to make sure he’s getting all the essential nutrients he needs to be happy and healthy for many years to come 💚
