These two did so well today! We’ve got them on a new schedule for the new year and I think it’s going to make a big difference! They didn’t have as much hair to work through today as they usually do (the difference one week can make on a coat like this is unbelievable) I’m also pretty confident they are being pampered at home with more brushing through the holidays but the their owners 🤐 not telling me anything 🤣 regardless the girls both enjoyed a little less fuss and work than usual to get them looking their best today.

I had fun trying a new look on Dante today! He’s usually shaved nose to tail or fluffy with clean feet and face. Today I got to give him a fluffy 5/8” trim and I think it looks quite dapper on him. I even went rogue and gave him a proper little poodle tail, I think it’s adorable!

This little guy is doing amazing with his nail trims. He stands so nice and doesn’t fuss over it at all. He’s still learning and I’m sure we will go through an adolescent rebellion at some point but for now he’s flawless, and already knows how to work the camera LOL Jojo, don’t ever change!

I’m pretty sure Bailey’s least favourite part about being groomed is leaving her owner. Bailey is a very good girl for being groomed but she is never truly comfortable until she is back in her mommas arms. She does not care for her face being done. Some days we are able to get a decent shave without fuss and other days we struggle to get even a little trim so she is cleaned up. This time around she wanted nothing to do with the shave but she was quite agreeable to a nice short trim which was wonderful! I always enjoy the Bailey snuggles even if I’m not her favourite person. She does calm down with me but never truly relaxed.

Sadie wasn’t too sure what to think of wearing a scarf! Figuring out at our last visit that she doesn’t like to see the scissors when I’m trimming her face we were able to go into her face trim with that knowledge this time around and it was much more successful. We are far from done our work getting her comfortable with the process and getting her face looking as adorable as she can be but it is a great step in the right direction!
Zuzu did wonderful today, last time I wore her for most of our visit (in a sling like baby carrying) because that’s what kept her calm and comfortable. I did the same for a short time this time around but she was much calmer and more comfortable than she was during our last visit so she was quite content hanging out in her cozy spot on the floor.

Grizzly’s least favourite part of visiting me is when I get her all excited that we are “all done” and then I ask her to get back on the table for a picture LOL then proceeds the five minutes of me following her my salon trying to get a picture of her sitting still 🤣 today she insisted on sitting so I couldn’t trim her bum we came to an agreement where I could trim a little bit at a time as long as I didn’t try to hold her foot, belly or face while I did this. It’s not perfect but it works well enough for us.

I saw these three today! After my last visit with the disaster bath with Kaito which I still feel bad about he did amazing for his nail trim, we also worked on some more blow dryer training.
AJ did so good today for his bath and tidy up. He is a trooper for the blow dryer not fussing at all, he does complain when I ask him to stand though LOL I think he might be a good candidate for a grooming hammock that will help take the pressure off his joints so he can stand for his leg trimming. Trimming his legs always requires lots of breaks so he can sit every few minutes. He’s an old guy, I’m happy to give him his breaks and maybe invest in a hammock so I can better meet his needs comfortably!
Yuri is always such a good girl for her nail trims, she also got a big big blow out and deshed today. You would not believe the amount of hair such a small dog can produce! LOL

Today I saw Mabel, it was the first time she’s come to see me without her buddy and I was wondering how she was going to do. She definitely missed having an extra long break today but she did so good for everything and got a few short breaks. I was very happy with how well this little princess did today!

Heidi acts like she doesn’t like me in front of her owners. I think she just wants them to feel like she would never betray their loyalty and affection by actively enjoying being around me. As soon as her people are out of sight though she is my best friend, giving me grief if I try to stop scratching her LOL
She saw me in the school parking lot the other day from her seat in the car, she locked eyes with me and refused to look away until I was out of sight 🤣 I was quite amused. She is a very smart doggo!

Lulu has come a long way, she came in for a little Christmas tidy up and did so good for her nail trim, paw pad shave and everything. Only thing she is still struggling with is her chin trimming. She tolerates just enough to clean it up a tiny bit. This too will come. She has thrived with working at her pace. It has been a long process but it has been so worth it!

Nico and Bella came for the Christmas baths this weekend! Nico was not interested in me taking his picture, he was too excited to be done and head home, the look he gave me when I told him to stay instead of coming to me for more snuggles broke my heart. He is such a good boy 💜 Bella is such a good girl for everything, she had no complaints.

I tried going live but it’s just not working for me this morning. Here we have it May’s wheel of names for Pet Of The Month!

Yaha I did it right this time with the help of the kids! LOL PET OF THE MONTH WHEEL OF NAMES!!!! Everyone who came in in April was entered to be pet of the month. Winner receives $10 off their next groom and an extra little goodie from me. This months extra little treat is a hand painted pet portrait on a stepping stone from La Rocks by Design!

I had to share picture taking with these two and their crazy head tilts. This is what trimming Kiwi’s head is usually like except for faster more erratic movements. I couldn’t help but giggle at hoe TicTac’s mannerisms are so similar to Kiwi’s. Please don’t judge me for the hair on the table and you might want to make sure your volume isn’t too loud I am right in front of the mic making all sorts of noise 🤣
