Self-Discovery Journey with Horses...
ABOUT CRYSTAL Crystal Fatteicher is a horse lover, nature enthusiast and is passionate about teaching about horses. Her love of horses began at an early age and was “riding before she could walk”. Throughout Crystal’s childhood, she helped on her grandmother’s farm which included teaching and coordinating a youth 4-H Summer Riding Camp. In her spare time she would be riding ponies with her cousins in horse shows, ditches and trail rides. She obtained her Equine Assisted Learning Facilitator Certification through Equine Connection near Carseland, AB and opened her new business, Ponderosa Connection. This provides an opportunity to combine her passion for horses with a vested interest in personal development, continuous improvement and team building. "Ponies are the greatest teachers..." Grandma Kurtenbach

ABOUT EQUINE ASSISTED LEARNING (EAL) BuildingBlock(TM) is a learner based educational experience with horses. It is an effective approach to human development that encourages individual and team growth. Participants engage in objectively driven exercises and develop valuable like skills in a fun and exciting atmosphere while working with horses. EAL has proven to be effective, powerful and positive, educational and creative. Why Horses? Horses are strong, tough and stead fast dance partners. Horses consistently react to the stimulus provided by participants. Some of the joys associated with working around horses are - they don't judge, able to desensitize and constantly assessing their environment The horses' feedback is honest and instant. Learning to listen to what horses have to say is powerful and can create instant changes in an individual. By including horses in specially designed educational exercises, greatly multiplies the participant's rate of success to self discovery. How? Horses respond and react from the stimulus of the people they are working with and address any problems immediately. They give a certified facilitator an opportunity to step-in and help identify what needs to happen to move forward. Horses don't over think a participant's motive but horses do challenge their behaviour and leadership.
