Our hearts have been full for 3 full years now with Spike in our lives.
He had a ruff go there for a bit, and he was in pretty awful shape the first time we met him. But after a strategic shave down, and some antibiotics along with diet and exercise … 3 years later he’s a different cat.
The smile he brings everyone, the curiosity he has, his love for puppies and his love for all of his “ moms “ is something that I will cherish forever.

We love you Spike ♥️🐾

We pulled the trigger a little too soon on our donation total post! There were a few trims done between Tuesday and yesterday, which brings our grand total for the month to, $1,006.00!!!

Let’s talk about Matting …

Matting can occur very quickly depending on your dogs coat, thin coats and curly coats are in my opion the hardest to maintain for pet parents. Matting can leave your dog unable to regulate their own body temperature, reduce an animal’s mobility, cause hot spots, increase dander, and in sever cases it can cause blood to pool in the ears, tail and feet, when the matting is removed and circulation is now unrestricted.

Matts happen, life happens, we simply want to educate and help our clients care for their pets.

So we will always help, we will always recommend that dogs be groomed at minimum every 3 months to help with overgrowth on the animal. We will provide you with what your price point would be on a maintenance schedule to provide yearly care for your family member.

We offer price points for scheduled apts for 12 weeks all the way to every 4 weeks. There is a bonus to pre booking apts, it helps maintain your dogs health and it will help your yearly budget for grooming care.

We really do love what we do and we want our furry clients and our human clients to know we will help and we truly do care.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out for our first nail trim event at our new location! Spike loved all the extra attention!

As a community, for the month of February, we've raised $960 for our local Moose Jaw Humane Society ! We are well on our way to our goal of $13,000 this year!

We are very proud to support the Moose Jaw Humane Society, we donate our time for the cats and dogs who come in who need grooming care for comfort and or health reasons. Every nail trim that comes thru the door goes right back into our own community, and the money donated is allotted for, we can see where the money our customers donate every day goes. That is peace of mind for me as a business owner. Transparency with their board / their policies / how they can and do help animals across Saskatchewan, many who have been turned down from shelter after shelter, end up in Moose Jaw and they get nothing but the best care. There is no waiting in pain for these animals, they get vet care / antibiotics / vaccines and or surgery right away.
Please consider fostering for our local Moose Jaw Humane Society , cats or dogs. Please consider donating your time or your recycling. There is a ton of peace of mind knowing where your money goes, and well every penny that goes to the HS goes right back to the paws they are carrying for 💝🐾

A question we are often asked is what is the difference between a nonprofit organization and a registered charity. Registered charities must apply to the CRA and be approved as a charity. As a registered charity the Moose Jaw Humane Society can issue official tax receipts for income tax purposes for donations made. Nonprofits are unable to issue tax receipts. Our board meets 10 times per year and is responsible to take accurate minutes at each of those meetings and they are accountable for the financial health of the shelter. We are accountable to our donors for where their donation dollars are spent and our yearly financial statements are available on the CRA website. Wondering who you should support?
