When your pet goes for a dental cleaning, it's the same procedure you would receive when you see your dentist -but under anesthetic (which some of us humans would also probably prefer). From scaling and polishing to x-rays, just skipping the fluoride for the pets.

Meet Dr. Brandele Brown! Dr. Brown graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine earlier this year and started with us in September. She has 3 cats, a dog, a rabbit and chickens. Her hobbies include reading, hiking, baking (she has yet to prove this to us by bringing any) and she has played the violin since the age of 3. Welcome to the team, we are excited to have you!

When doing yard clean up this fall make sure you remove all debris from around your house and garage. Ticks like to winter under piles of leaf litter and brush. They can be active during cooler temperatures and even survive our winters!

Remember little Gracie from yesterday? If you said it was ear mites munching on the blood supply from in her ear you were correct! Gracie had a horrible infestation but after a good ear cleaning and some treatment she will be good as new!

Acting like a dead weight pancake and rolling around like an alligator, Stella made it difficult for her family to get her to the clinic. Even after the appointment, when most pets are happy to pack up and go home she wasn’t going to make it easy. Does your pet like coming to visit us?

Those darn porcupine quills are sneaky. Not only are they painful to put out, but if you miss one they can migrate through the body and even into organs. This poor guy had a quill in his thigh that finally moved around enough it could be felt enough to be pulled out. Will he check out another porcupine if he comes across it? Probably 🤣
