Yes, I am still feeling extremely sick thanks to shingles but here’s an update. I named the roosters Pennywise and Freddy Krueger and this is my Halloween makeup- scary rainbow clown 🤡 🌈👻. Another community member went late at night and got the others- Jason and Elvira.

Someone dumped 4 roosters (possibly 1 is a hen) on the roadside halfway to town so I went with a chicken-experienced friend and tried to catch them. Only successful getting 2 but will keep trying. I just happen to have a chicken coop so we emptied out what was stored inside of it and made it into a little home for them.

Best friend alert!! You can count on this gorgeous soul. This week, Baby Derp Otter has had a lot of renewed interest. Thank you everyone for sharing his story! It’s hard to be a dog needing a home in today’s pet climate, post-pandemic. So many dogs needing homes; more than the homes available. But let me tell you he is amazing. So loving, cuddly, fun, silly, easy to train because he is so food motivated, happy and eager to please. I don’t know if there is a more deserving Toller to be honest.

Beautiful Taco (The 90s litter Chilly x Gus) was mauled and badly injured by 2 off leash dogs while out on a walk with a family member. She’s being well taken care of medically but her mama is reaching out to ask for recommendations for a reiki practitioner in the Edmonton area who works on animals. We are also looking for recommendations for a trusted animal communicator to aid in her psychological and emotional recovery. Please comment or DM.

Dog training is a self-regulated industry and some trainers rely on force, fear and intimidation to boss dogs around. This kind of treatment can cause lifelong trauma.

Always look for dog trainers who are proud of their positive, kind and educated approach.

They won't let your dog down.

Arlo/Chelco/Chuckles update-

Arlo came to join our family 2 months ago. We live in North Surrey and Darrell and I have recently retired so we get to spend lots of time with him. We are a very active family and Arlo is getting used to camping and dirt bikes and chain saws and he likes all of that better than our cat, Noqua.

Arlo and I started Agility classes in Pitt Meadows, which I’m so excited to try with him.
