We are a non-profit animal rescue and adoption organization dedicated to saving the lives of animals.

We ensure that they receive the best care in order to bring them up to maximum potential health both physically and emotionally. They are rehabilitated and/or trained if need be, then ultimately placed in a comp

atible loving and forever home. In The Woods Animal Rescue symbolizes the unique and lasting ways that animals touch the human spirit. Each adoption will be a living tribute to the memory of those we have lost. We will not compromise our integrity by adopting an animal out before it is ready or to a home not in their best interest. In The Woods Animal Rescue works with ARTS, BC SPCA, Edmonton Humane Society, Red Deer SPCA, On Our Way Home, as well as other rescues and shelters which cover a very large area.

Fabulous update from Amber! She says "Fast forward to the end of 2024 Blue and Skye (Foxy 2) became big sisters this summer and are wonderful to their little sister. The girls are doing great and living their best life we truly are blessed to have such wonderful pups. Thank you Cheryl’s!

Oh, the humanity! What have these humans done to me?!? Poor Luna is back from her spay and microchipping. Jody Sterling says
"I just wanted to let you know that Luna is doing great after getting her spay done on Tuesday. She is not very happy with me just yet. She does not care for being kenneled during the day while we are gone. She much prefers to be outside chasing the pesky squirrel we have living in our yard. When I take her out to do her business she takes off and goes right for the trees looking for her arch enemy lol. She is healing nicely and is such a good girl. This was her the first day. The shirt lasted 3 days. Today she figured out how to undo the snaps." Smart girl lol!!

Morgan

This adorable little girl is Morgan and she has had to struggle to get this far in life. Born to a feral mom, abandoned at only a couple of weeks old, she was bottle fed by her rescuers until a foster home could be found. Amber Lussier took the challenge and has worked absolute wonders, showing us again that rescue is most definitely a team effort! Morgan is a happy little girl who will hopefully be up for adoption in a couple of weeks. If you are interested in Morgan or have any questions, text Cheryl B at 780-523-7525.

In Memory of Maggie

Cutest update video ever from Justin and Laura on the Sela puppy they adopted at our Zoo Foods adoption event! Now named Boris, it looks like he has overcome the initial distrust shown by his Auntie Kepp and has wormed his way into her heart! When asked “Where’s your puppy?” she will go and bring him in- truly a herding mutt !
