I will never get enough of Hazel at the lake. All her splish splashing! She loves the water. But not too deep! I had to make some big distractions for Charlie so I could pick up the stick he was hogging and throw it for him and Forrest. He gets very excited about sticks so I have to be quick if I’m going to get it. I managed a couple times so they got a good swim in.

Today’s Pack #2!
Featuring Mavis, Charlie, Yuna, Bella and Alphie!
Alphie was sure happy to be back on the trail after a week off. We had to take a few breaks so he could get his sillies worked out with Charlie. They just wanted to play the whole time. It was challenging to keep the focus today. But we made it! Bunch of happy hikers!

Today’s Pack #1!
Featuring Watson, Niko, Pepper and Riggs!
A little rain this morning allowed us to switch up our route and get a change of scenery and smells. They made sure to get all the good sniffs in. We came across another group of dogs up the trail from us. I am so proud of how calm and collected these four were. We turned and walked the other direction for a few yards before we leashed up. They were on their a-game for listening today. Especially proud of Niko who was a little bit further from me when we spotted them. He came right in and focused on me. He has come a long way since we first started hiking together. He would have never been able to resist saying hello to those other dogs. But today he didn’t even consider it.

These four kicked up quite the dust bowl running down to the lake. They were ready for a swim! Even Sadie went deep enough she was on her tip toes today. Just far enough to reach the stick that Lexi left behind. Happy dogs!

Little Bella got a chance to chase after every single one of her big friends today! They were all ready to play and she was ready to zoom! They mostly stayed in the shallow water at the lake, so she didn’t have to get too wet.
