Today’s Pack!
Featuring Watson, Guinness, Mayo, Niko and Oliver!
Happy Valentine’s Day! Luckiest gal in town with five cute boys chasing after me. Guinness was excited for some different friends to play with today. Watson was over the moon since he had both Oliver and Guinness to play chase with. Niko was in on it too and Mayo gave them his attention here and there.

A nice laid back walk with these three. We all stayed leashed and took an easy route. Kona is still unsure about leaving home without his dad. But he doesn’t put up too much of a fight to get out on the trail.

Everyone was feeling playful today. They had Pepper jumping in to play all throughout the hike. Miss Josie was forgetting her listening ears so we rotated a bit of leash time as well and she was feeling really jealous watching the boys play. Hopefully that will help her learn her lesson. Such a beautiful day!

Meet Juno!
Panda or dog? Everyone has a little comment to make when I’m out with this gorgeous girl! She certainly grabs your attention. Miss Juno and I are going to be spending some weekly one on one time together. We are going to have some lovely strolls along the trails behind her property. She is such a sweetheart!

Today’s Pack #2!
Featuring Niko, Lucy, Bella and Waldo!
All these little legs out on a snow adventure. Niko loves the snow and was ripping around all over. Waldo also likes it but was steering clear of the deeper stuff. Lucy was happy to be out there. She loves her adventure time. But I think she was also happy the be walking on the packed down snow and now wading through the deep stuff. Bella trucked along. I’m not sure she was exactly happy to be there, but she persevered. Not much of a snow dog! Even with her winter coat!

Featuring Rocky, Mavis and Charlie!
I think Rocky enjoys eating the snow just as much as he likes his treats. He was rolling in it and having a bite every twenty feet or so. Charlie was joining him for some good rolls too. But he was more interested in convincing him to play. He’s always ready for some crazy fun. Mavis was happy doing her thing. Such a calm energy.

Today’s Pack #2!
Featuring Oliver, Mayo, Watson and Niko!
Little Mayo had the right idea and stayed behind me and the path I’ve been working on the last couple days. The packed down snow helped to keep the snowballs from clumping in his fur. Oliver wasn’t as fortunate. He was playing with Watson in the deep snow at the beginning and had so many snowballs stuck to him. I think he figured out Mayos trick after a while because he was sticking close to us. Watson kept trying to get him going but he wasn’t having it. Niko was all over the place in every direction. He had no trouble in the deep stuff.

Gus was Mr popular today. Both Fern and Guinness were competing for his attention to play. Guinness won most of the time. But Gus was quite smitten with Fern and kept trying to sneak over to her before Guinness would come barreling through. Joey was just happy to be out in the snow.

Featuring Kona, Bella and Charlie!
Charlie was ready to run! The snow does not slow him down one bit. Bella, on the other hand, loved hopping through it like a little rabbit. But we had to make frequent stops to break apart the snowballs that accumulated in her fur. She became a walking snowball out there! Kona was still unsure about being away from his dad, but was content to be out adventuring.

Meet Milo!
Another seasoned hiker joining the pack. What a lucky boy to have his very first day on a snow day! He was loving the snow and loving running around with the other pups. He is a great listener and never went too far ahead. We are going to have a wonderful time adventuring together!

Today’s Pack #2!
Featuring Kona, Mavis and Charlie!
Charlie was running circles around us today. He had the snow zoomies the whole way. I think he clocked an extra 1.5km compared to the rest of us. He was dying to get Mavis going in a game of chase but she wasn’t feeling it today. Kona stayed on leash for most of the hike. He knows those trails so well and doesn’t like being away from his dad, so I knew he was thinking about turning around and heading home a few times. But on leash, he was quite content walking by my side.
Holy moly is it hard work hiking in that deep snow. I am exhausted today! I don’t think they felt the struggle quite as much as I did though!

Meet Kona!
This handsome guy is going to be joining us for some hikes for a little while. He is no stranger as we do often see him out on the trail and he’s always happy to say hello. He’s not used to being out there without his dad so he was a little nervous. Hopefully after a couple hikes he will get used to it and understand that he gets to go back home to dad as soon as the adventure is over.

Today’s Pack #1!
Featuring Ernie, Watson, Pepper and Vinnie!
We made it out today! The main roads were clear and the side roads were manageable. Some happy dogs out playing in the snow. Ernie wanted to run in every direction at once! Vinnie hopped through it like a rabbit at times. Pepper and Watson were clever enough to stay behind me after I trudged through the deep stuff to make a path for them. Although they both had their moments of playful energy.
