HOW TO GET YOUR CATS TO LOVE
THEIR NEW JELLICLE BED?

MAKE THEIR BED APPEALING
Lure your picky feline to the bed with her/his
favourite treats or catnip. Apparently, only about
50-70% of cats actually respond to catnip. If your
cat is one of the few who doesn't, you can try
silver vine, a catnip alternative that contains two
cat attractants compared to catnip's one and is more
likely to elicit a response. Cats are curious
creatures and sometimes they love to discover
their new bed by themselves.

Once your cat willingly steps into the bed, hold
a treat up until she/he sits down. Give her/him
the treat and some praise as soon as she/he does.

Don't force your cat to sit or lie down in the bed if
if it doesn't want to, as this can cause negative
associations with the bed. Leave a sprinkling of
her/his favourite treats to entice your kitty to
come back later.

Many cats are also comforted by their own scent,
as well as the scent of their owners. Try leaving
an old T-shirt that you've worn in the bed, or a
blanket that your cat is especially fond of
cuddling up to.

Many cats like sleeping in warm, sunny spots,
so move the bed to an area of your home that
gets a lot of sun during the day.
