So went out last night . My friends dogs were not happy I didn’t have kylo . Got home was interrogated by my dogs. Then I got the silent treatment the rest of the night . Yep I was officially in the doghouse.

So for those those of us that have reactive dogs. Do you know why your dog is reactive? So here’s the thing Joey can be reactive . He can be reactive to people he doesn’t like, if a person is angry or unstable we can see him be reactive, if he sees someone that he really likes he can get over excited and sometimes it’s seen as being reactive for people who don’t know him. Joey has a few different barks . If a person can come into the home and walk around freely there good. But if someone comes into the home and can’t move without him constantly barking and following every move that person makes there’s a reason. He is the smartest and most intelligent dog I have ever owned. I love him so much.

With the weather now getting hotter please remember to keep your pets safe if you need to take them out. All pet owners should have a pet emergency kit . This is what I pack in a back pack . first aid kit, water , food, portable dishes, towels. Flashlight, p**p bags, I also have extra collars and leashes in case needed. And I have cute little passports that I keep in a baggie in case of an emergency. Also I have a few extras like tick removers. A brush, cleaning solution , and any medication I may need for them. I like to be prepared.

So I went back to brushing my dogs teeth with a tooth brush. My dogs are not happy. I had to make some changes with them. No hard treats. No dental sticks. Plain crunchies with water. Joey had 3 teeth removed a while back from chewing on a bully stick. Which a lot of people are not aware of. I didn’t know either. and some vets are still not aware , But a simple bully stick can fracture your dogs teeth. So can rawhides or any other hard bone we give our dogs.
