Have you heard? We are hosting the pop-up exhibition Love in a Dangerous Time at the Nanaimo Harbourfront branch until Jan.14.

The exhibition from the Canadian Museum for Human Rights is on the 2SLGBTQI+ purge from the 1950s to the 1990s, when the Canadian government investigated thousands of employees, military personnel and members of the RCMP. Many were forced to resign.

This exhibition is free to drop in and view. See it during branch hours.

VOLUNTEERS WANTED
[PLEASE SHARE]

For almost 40 years the 7-10 Club has done its best at FEEDING PEOPLE WITH DIGNITY AND RESPECT. Despite almost 3 years with no fixed address, like the majoriity of those in need of our services, we continue to do so.

We recognise the time of volunteering is a bit of a challenge but partaking of the challenge definitely has its rewards.

Please CONSIDER VOLUNTEERING; for that alone you have our THANKS.

6:20/6:30am – 7:30am
Monday thru Friday
1 or more shifts.

'Soaring demand forces Edmonton's Food Bank to tighten restrictions on client visits'

This is happening more and more in communities across Canada

Its not just foodbanks but other food programs are seeing growing need for their services as well.

Politicians of all stripes need to put the Politics of Poverty aside and come up with actual solutions.
