Wearing a cone is important for pets to prevent them from licking, biting, or scratching at an injury, surgical site, or hot spot. The cone helps the area heal faster without risk of further injury, suture removal, or infection.

Although vaccine reactions are rare, it is normal for your pet to feel tired, or sore at the site of a vaccination. Puppies and kittens should get their vaccines at 8 weeks, 12 weeks, and 16 weeks of age.

It would be an understatement to say that this distinguished gentleman is one of our absolute favourites - and it's such an honour to have been, and continue to be apart of his care!

Miss Pepper (Pepperoni as her mom calls her!) was such a good girl for her dental cleaning a few weeks back! All of our surgery procedures are done within our open hours (no overnight stays!). Surgery patient drop offs are scheduled between 8:10-8:30 am, and pick up is usually between 3-4:30 pm.

Dr Samantha VanDeventer starts accepting patients today! She's been a member of our team for the last three years, whilst completing her veterinary degree. We could not be more excited to have her back!
Sam grew up in Surrey BC. She graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 2024, and also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and a Science Diploma. Some of her areas of interest in veterinary medicine are surgery, dentistry, and feline medicine.
During her downtime, Sam enjoys attending concerts, going to the cinema, collecting records, dancing poorly, and singing karaoke. Sam lives with her four cats, Jenny, Jackie, Natalie, and Andy (all named after songs by her favourite band!)
Avila the Siberian Forest Cat - is trying out for the next Winter Olympics! ⛷

We understand that it's impossible to plan when our pets will get infections, injuries, or generally feel unwell. As we always strive to help as many patients as possible; we are usually able to set aside 'emergency day-of' appointments to accommodate more urgent cases. These cannot be booked in advance. To inquire about these 'emergency day-of time slots' please call us right at 8 am Monday-Thursday, and 8:30am on Fridays.
For any further questions or to book an non-urgent appointment in advance, don't hesitate to speak to one of our client-care representatives who will be happy to help!

You may recall a few weeks ago we introduced our tiniest patient Juan weighing 0.52kgs. So today we wanted to introduce one of our largest!
This perfect gentleman is Thomas the Great Dane! Thomas weighed in at 68.8kg (151 lbs!)

As we roll into the Summer heat - please take into consideration how the heat affects our pets! Brachycephalic breeds, such as English/French bulldogs, Boston Terriers and Pugs, are particularly vulnerable to heatstroke due to their compromised airways. Flat-faced cat breeds like Persians also struggle with heat but are less likely to overexert themselves outdoors.
Nitro - the 9 year old, Old English Bulldog arrived to his appointment last month in his Dad's sidecar! Although this would not be suitable for all pets - Nitro couldn't have been happier and we had to share his photo!

Introducing Georgie the absolutely stunning Maine C**n! Only 6 months old, he weighs in at 4.34kg and is expected to continue growing well past the size of 15 year old sister Ratana!

Receptionist Kim, has recently become a 'cat-mom' and couldn't be more in love with her 12 year old calico 'Cleo.' 😻
Cleo came in to get her teeth cleaned a few weeks back, and was significantly less impressed about missing out on her usual nap time. 😅
