ADOPTION UPDATE: Menerva

“My partner and I adopted Menerva back in September 2023 and wanted to share a little update regarding how our sweet girl is doing! She absolutely loves her big sister (Poppy, 3 y/o corgi) and we’ve caught them grooming each other. She’s queen of the castle and knows it. Everyone who visits absolutely loves how sweet and friendly she is!”

We do everything we can for our rescue partners, including “nap testing” their cat beds.

The volunteers of Catspan hand-make these beds to fundraise for the cats they help, some of whom come to us for adoption.

Please come in to support their work with a bed your kitty is sure to love.

Shirley has been with us for over 9 months. She's our longest resident.

Sometimes cats are adopted immediately. Sometimes they wait a month or two. Every once in a while, one gets overlooked for months. We don't understand why this sweet, playful girl hasn't been scooped up yet, but we know her people are out there somewhere and we'll keep waiting for them 💕 It'll be worth the wait.

ADOPTION UPDATE: Jamal, now Maui✨

“He is full of energy—Mr. Zoomie at night. He is curious about everything his mom does. He wants to play with water, especially mugs of tea. He stays close and is always judging, and recently has been coming in for more cuddles. I had to buy a hair bonnet because he plays with my hair when I'm sleeping and I wake up with tons of tangles in my hair. Goodest of good boys right here. He makes little trills when I come home. ❤️”

Shirley is looking for someone to fall head-over-heels in love with. Someone who will make her their only furbaby. Could that be you?

Makita is sweeter than you could imagine. He's gentle and easygoing. He sleeps on the bed with his foster parents, waking them with zoomies in the morning. He appreciates pets and touch—even his tummy is safe. Young and playful, he gets downright silly for the feather toy, loves the laser red dot, and ask him about “ping bob.” Makita will play so hard he ends up panting. This sweetheart is super polite with all the other cats in his foster home, respecting the grannies and sharing zoomies with one of the others. He would love another friendly cat in his forever family. Makita just had his first birthday. He hasn’t met dogs or young children. Please contact us to meet sweet Makita 🧡🤍

Sweet and gentle Bubba is a lower-energy cat, who enjoys chin scritches and sleeping with his person. He may even climb into your lap. In his foster home, Bubba really enjoyed the companionship of another calm cat. They’d chase each other around a bit but spent most of their time lying in the sun or on the couch together. He interacts with the young boisterous cat in short spurts and gets along well with the large calm dog. However, he isn’t interested at all in the two spayed females in the family. Bubba is five years old. He was left behind when his family moved away. A neighbour took him in and has been loving him up since. Sadly, they cannot keep him forever. Could you be Bubba’s forever family? Please contact us to schedule a meeting. In addition to calm cats and dogs, Bubba will be comfortable with older children.

Shady & Chimera are chasing rainbows… Hoping their forever families come in to meet them this weekend when they’re in our meet-and-greet room. 🖤🖤 These boys can be rambunctious together. They’ll also be happy adopted separately. They are comfortable with busy children of all ages. Shady is making friends with the polite dog in their foster family. Chimera loves to be picked up and cuddled. Could one of these boys be the “house panther” of your dreams?

Weather Forecast: Shady with periods of Chimera. 🌪️⚡️ These two handsome panthers were rescued from the same location. They are in foster together. Sometimes, they need to wrestle each other. Just because. 🖤🖤 They can be adopted together, for high energy with a touch of drama. Or separately. Please contact us to meet them.

Evelyn is all about tummy rubs and purrs. She’ll be in our meet-and-greet room tomorrow (Thursday). 🧡 On her previous trip in from her foster home, she was so eager to get here, that she rubbed her little nose raw on the door of the carrier. 😿 It healed within a couple of days. Please don’t be alarmed.
