We have hit the wall.
And are in serious danger of closing our doors permanently.

We have veterinary bills to pay, and cannot pay them fast enough. There are cats in care that have been considerably more expensive than usual, and the bills mount up. They do so even without the emergencies.
Food, litter and medication costs are up too, as I'm sure you are all very aware. But the vet bills are the most critical.
And kitten season is already upon us.
This past year, 2023, was the first time in over a decade that we did not achieve a zero balance by years end, and had two major surgeries right at the start of this year as well.

Please know that everyone who has helped us to date, with adoptions, donations, fundraisers and other supports; you are greatly appreciated and we are most grateful.
It has been difficult to raise enough with donations and fundraising efforts to offset the costs of getting cats and kittens healthy enough for adoption, and spayed/neutered.
Our adoption fees cover about 40 percent of the cost for each animal, which is a minimum of 800.00 per kitten to get them ready for adoption.
And that's only if they don't require multiple vet visits, medications, lab work, extra medications, special food, surgeries etc. That can lead to spending thousands.
Last years medical bills topped 90,000.00

So we WILL be open for adoptions. We will continue to fundraise, and work on training foster homes. We will continue our partnership with St.Lawrence College.
But we are closed to intakes. No kittens, bottle babies, injured or sick cats.

If you need help with a cat or kittens, please check with other rescues, shelters etc. We simply cannot help. At least for a while.
We must pay off our bills. And get supplies in.
