Hello all 🙂

It’s been a while, again. I’m going to be completely honest and say, I took a break for the holiday season, and just haven’t had it in me to get going again.

I got into my own head quite a bit and discouraged myself after going to markets and getting no sales. I forgot that my art matters. What I create with my time and my energy and my hands matters even if it’s not my source of income.

That being said, I plan on continuing to make leashes, accessories, and everything else I had planned for this new year. I am really not sure when I’m going to start again, I don’t have a date, but I am pushing myself closer everyday.

Making these leashes is something I truly enjoy doing. It’s satisfying, and the results are beautiful. I know others enjoy them too.

Once I get started, posts will pick back up again. I hope to see you all around, and thank you for all the support I’ve gotten since starting, it’s not you, it’s me 🫣😊

Want to be a localist? Awesome! Here are some ways that you can support local and small businesses that really do help them grow and thrive!

• Leave Google/Facebook reviews.
⇢ Most of the time people only leave reviews when they haven’t had a great experience. Starting the trend of leaving good reviews on businesses is great. Let people know why you enjoy that specific local business. Let’s just not talk about the bad but also let’s focus on the good.

• Like and comment on their social media.
⇢ Likes and comments have value. They help a small business grow and thrive in the ever competitive world of social media and marketing. A little social love goes a long way. This is the most affordable and accessible way for anyone and everyone to be a local supporter!

• Follow them along on their social media.
⇢ Keep in touch! Many local and small businesses post on their social media regularly and that is usually where they account specials, deals and new items first.

• Eat a locally owned restaurants.
⇢ Better food, better experiences, what’s not to love? Local restaurants usually buy local and in season plus they hire local staff. Eat local and help complete a local loop.

• Shop the businesses in your neighbourhood.
⇢ Take a walk around your neighbourhood get to know the locals. These are easily accessible businesses and conveniently located to you. They help make your community a bustling and better place for you to live.

• Subscribe to newsletters.
⇢ They let you know where a business is going to be and about what’s new or deals they are having.

• Refer to your friends and family.
⇢ If you loved something, it’s likely your friends and family may like it too. If you had a great experience with a local business, tell people.

• Tag businesses, share what you received.
⇢ If you were gifted or bought it. A little tag really helps local and small businesses on socials. It helps them build what’s called UGC - user generated content.

• Give gift cards or gift certificates.
⇢ A purchase now for later. Gift cards and gift certificates. Let people experience the businesses you love on their own terms. To have their own unique local experience.
