For the month of December, we held our 4th annual Peanut Butter drive for the Pictou County Food Bank.
Each year or goal has been to surpass our previous year’s goal and this year was no exception. This picture of six jars high and three jars deep represents a whopping 366 pounds of peanut butter donated to the food bank thanks to our RCO clients and friends. Just incredible!
Thank you so much to everyone who donated peanut butter and Tim Hortons gift cards, it truly shows how every single donation collectively makes a difference!
Thank you as well to our friends at Crombie REIT for their continued support of our cause.

A year ago we reopened our doors and by the looks on their faces today I think they were happier with the dump of snow last year than the relentless soaking rain we’ve had this week. 🌧️

We were fortunate to have had the pleasure of this magnificent boy’s company and be witness to his antics for many years! Although his daycare days were behind him, we learned of Seamus Jones passing yesterday and wanted to acknowledge the joy he brought to us and his many buddies big and small during his years spent in daycare! He was one of the original OG’s at RCO and one of the first to join our Rover family back in 2015!
A popular guy the pups lined up to play with, wrestle with, or snuggle with, he was in for all of it, but it was his kindness to everyone big or small that we think was his best quality!

We were heartbroken this weekend to learn we lost a member of our Rover family, sweet Gemma!
As regal as they come sunning her days away when she was here was one of her most favourite pass times, but making a new friend was an opportunity she never missed! We didn’t know saying have a good weekend last Thursday would be our last time seeing your sweet grey face Gem!
Our hugs and hearts go out to Gemma’s amazing humans Marsha and Adam thank you for sharing her with us!
