The BeeDry winter wrap is a reusable radiant foil insulation hive wrap. It helps keep the air at a constant temperature inside the hive by reflecting 97% of the heat given off by the bees back to the cluster, not allowing the heat to escape through the hive wall and be lost to the outside environment. BeeDry at the same time reflects 97% of the outside temperatures away from the hive. Helping the bees to effectively control the air temperature inside their hive. By keeping warm air in and reflecting cold air away..... hot and cold air will not collide causing moisture. The reusable BeeDry pillow goes on top of the inner cover / hole and wicks up any excess moisture, taking it away from the bees. Mice don't bother the wrap because it's made of foil. There is also a reusable piece of foil that goes under the hive bottom board to keep cold air from entering up via the hive bottom.
Instructions:
1) Slide the BeeDry sleeve down over your hive, line up the cutout front with your entrance reducer which is set at "smallest opening."
2) Cut the foil to match up with the opening in the entrance reducer.
3) Make sure to have an upper top entrance opening, either in the inner cover or drill a hole in your upper part of the top brood chamber. This allows fresh air to slowly circulate in through the bottom entrance and out the top entrance. Cut a hole in BeeDry to match upper entrance
