We have another new addition to the family! Meet Hunter! Yes, he needs a good haircut...but that will have to wait a while, until he's ready. He was rescued from a puppy mill, and he has been with us for two weeks now. He is still nervous of new things, but he is very friendly and curious, and he is doing really well with his Airedale sister, Phoebe, and his puppy shih-poo brother, Ozzie.

Our fur family is now complete again! 💕

On Easter Friday, with the help of Flights For Hope and Lost Boys Hope dog rescue, we welcomed a new furbaby into our family. Meet Ozzie! ❤️ Ozzie is deaf, but he is an incredibly attentive boy and he knows his sign language, so he is already settling in and feeling very comfortable with us. And, thankfully, he is also being super patient while we learn how to communicate with him. 😆

He is a happy, cuddly, bouncy addition to our family, and we love him already!

PJP's Dancin' Dexter (AKC)
December 4, 2011 - January 29, 2024

I'm heartbroken to report that we had to say goodbye to our beloved Dexter yesterday. He was 12, but he didn't come into our lives until he was 7 and we had hoped that we still had a couple more good years left with him, but fate had other plans. Fortunately we had three weeks from his cancer diagnosis to come to terms with his illness, but that didn't make saying goodbye any easier.

Dexter was supposed to be a "man's dog" but he quickly became a "mama's boy," and would always want to be in the same room as me. He loved his cuddles and his food, so when he stopped taking even his most favourite treats, we knew it was time.

He was a calm, patient boy with the other dogs who boarded here, and everyone who met him loved him. RIP, my little boodie. My Deck-ter. We will miss you so much. 💔
