Olaf #3835 needs your help! Every now and then, we find ourselves really worried about the future of some of our rescued Goldens. We successfully re-homed 423 Goldens last year but so far, we have been unable to find this special boy a well-deserved forever family. Olaf is loving, sweet and cuddly with people, but he should be the only pet in the family.

The situation is dire and we urgently need to find Olaf his forever family. Yes, he has his quirks and requires a particular family; however, despite his foibles, he would be a fantastic companion and he deserves a second chance. We desperately need your help so please share this post far and wide, with every dog lover you know.

This is devastating news for our rescue partners in Istanbul and Cairo who rely heavily on us to send Goldens from their overcrowded shelters safely to Canadian forever families. ***UPDATE - May has been found and is safe with a GR volunteer. Thank you to everyone who shared this post and helped search for her! We are very grateful! ***

MISSING DOG - Female Golden Retriever - May #3338 is missing in the Greely, Ontario area, approx 30 minutes south of Ottawa. May is under 2 years old and very small. She is also VERY TIMID. Please do not approach. She is wearing a leash and collar with a Golden Rescue tag and a red harness. She will come to another dog more readily than she will come to a person so if you are out looking and can bring your dog with you, that would be very helpful. She is food driven so if she is spotted in a yard, treats may be helpful in coaxing her to stay there. The Ottawa Humane Society has been contacted. UPDATE: July 4th - K9 Ground Search reports Flyer was much closer at going in the trap last night, but still no luck. Thanks to everyone for their well wishes!

UPDATE: June 29th - K9 Ground Search - Elgin / Middlesex has had a sighting of Flyer! They have posted an update on their FB Page. Thank you to all of the amazing people and volunteers at K9 Ground Search - Elgin / Middlesex for their commitment and dedication to helping get this girl home!

UPDATE: June 15th - We continue to work with K9 Ground Search - Elgin / Middlesex and thank them for their assistance. There have been some recent sightings, but she has still not been secured. Thank you to everyone for their continued support, positive thoughts and prayers. We will not give up. We are committed to getting this girl home safe.

UPDATE - May 11th - We continue to work with K9 Ground Search - Elgin / Middlesex to help secure Flyer. There have been multiple sightings of Flyer and we are told she looks well and doesn't appear to have any injuries. Victoria and the K9 Ground Search Team are doing an AMAZING job and we can't thank them enough for their continued efforts to help bring this sweet girl home. We appreciate everyone's offer to help, but due to Flyer's skittish nature, we are leaving it to the professionals so that the perimeter can be controlled. We will continue to update this post as new information becomes available.

LOST/MISSING DOG - Flyer #3293 - West Lorne, ON (approx 30 minutes SW of London - between London and Chatham). She bolted as she was getting into the car. If seen, DO NOT APPROACH.
