Fireworks season is here, and while we might love the light show, our dogs might not share the same enthusiasm. 😕 Dogs have super sensitive ears - if they can hear a snack bag opening from rooms away, imagine how the loud booms sound! 🥺👂 To them, it's loud and unpleasant chaos.

Keeping our dogs inside and close by, with some background noise they're used to, can help lower the stress of those loud celebrations. If your dog REALLY isn’t a fan of the loud festivities, prep a quiet place for them in your home with their favourite blanket and toys, so they have somewhere to hide away from the chaos if they need to. ❤️

Do you have a cat that makes biscuits so often, you’ve started to wonder if they’re ready to open their own bakery? 🍞 🤔

Don’t worry, they’re not trying to take over the kitchen (yet)! 😸

One of our favourite reasons cats knead is to express comfort and affection. As kittens, they kneaded their mother’s belly to stimulate milk production and bond with her. Now, as adults, they continue this behaviour with you to show their affection and feel secure!

If your cat doesn’t do this, that’s totally normal. Not all cats are quite so...kneady. 😸 But if your cat’s the type that’s always kneading the blanket beside you (or, lucky you, your lap) you should feel special, because you definitely are to them! 🥰

Looks can be deceiving! This is the Siberian squill - gorgeous, right? But as stunning as it is, it's highly toxic to both pets and humans. ☠️ The consequences of your dog or cat nibbling on this plant are far from pretty, and could lead to severe health issues and even death.

If you spot Siberian squill growing in your garden, consider removing it to keep your pets safe. And if you suspect your pet has ingested any part of this plant, contact your vet immediately! 🚑
