If I had to describe ReeRee in only one word, it would be “Princess”. Sweet Ree departed from this plane of existence in February, surrounded by the love and warmth of her parents. I can tell you, ReeRee’s parents love her so fiercely, she was and still is so lucky to have them as parents, just as they were lucky to share life with her 🤍 Rest easy, Princess ReeRee 💗

Hi Monty!! Monty is an absolutely gorgeous senior Sheltie boy. He’s been for a few stays here and there and he and Peanut are the best of friends during his boards 🥰🥰 yet again, another dog with a beautiful coat. My favourite thing about Monty is how his two bottom canine teeth jut out like a cute little warthog 😂😂 (just like my Joey’s used to🫶🥺) welcome, Monty!!

I want to thank my followers and clients for their patience 💜 it’s been a busy year, and (full disclosure) sometimes keeping up with social media is HARD for me! This is Louis! If you guys remember Moose, the cavapoo who frequents Joey Legacy often, Louis comes from the same breeder! Their parents are friends so they get lots of play dates. He’s not a senior or a special needs pup, but he was a treat. Louis came to stay this summer while his family went to a beautiful wedding in Italy! He was an absolutely lovely houseguest and soft as a teddy bear 🧸 welcome, Louis!!!

Hey Arnold! Meet Mr Arnold! He is a 3-legged saluki (mix?) who I watched for while his foster parents were away! I’m so behind on my posting, but since I watched Arnold, I am happy to say he has been adopted!!!! 🎉🎉🎉 I loved him so much, if I didn’t already have 3 in my crew I totally would have adopted him. He and my saluki, Lennon, absolutely loved each other and had a blast! Fostering is sooo important and without our fosters, I don’t know where we would be. Meet Tammy!!! Tammy is a 15 year old Cairn Terrier. I met Tammy’s owner when I was doing rehab on her other terrier, Holly. Holly was one of my favourite patients. Sadly, she passed away about 1.5 years ago. I kept in touch with her owner and she brought Tammy for boarding while she took her cairn puppy to puppy camp!! but don’t worry, Tammy got a camp of her own! Yesterday I was given the devastating news that Mojo passed away 💔 Mojo and his mom were my first official client and boarder 🤍 over the months since October, he’s been a frequent flyer-coming for stays so his mom could have some time to travel and relax. Mojo was an old man in so many ways, but his personality and face screamed “baby dog” 💖 Mojo’s amazing mom told me had a great last day filled with walks and snacks before he left this planet peacefully. Rest easy, Mojo. We miss you already 🤍

Bronte is a special, special soul. Her moms had to say the hardest goodbye to her recently and her presence is really going to be missed at Joey’s Legacy. The sweetest senior Dane 🤍 this is by far the hardest part of the job. I get to know each and every one of the pups that stays with me and they all take a piece of my heart with them. Meet Ricky 🥰 Ricky us a very special boy. He is part of “Forever Team” with TEAM Dog Rescue which is a program in which palliative dogs can be fostered in a loving home until their soul and body are ready to depart from this lifetime. Ricky has advanced heart disease and is also prone to bladder stones. You would NEVER know this guy is palliative by spending time with him. He is so spunky and lively, it’s hard to believe. He has the best foster parents and I am just watching them while they have a much deserved vacation 🤍 he fits right in with the crew here at Joey’s. Ivis is the newest member of the Joey’s Legacy family. Her dad had to leave town pretty suddenly and their amazing vet clinic @greenlaneanimalhospital recommended us for boarding! Ivis has diabetes, which means she needs an insulin injection twice a day. Insulin is injected subcutaneously (under the skin) and these injections are very important in the maintenance of diabetes.
