Best way to end the week is with a couple of mallies and a romp in The Meadow! Happy Friday, y’all!!!
Welcome to the pack, Axel and Frankie! These two mallies are super active and fun! Today was our first outing together so we went to The Meadow, of course!
Looking forward to our adventures together! ❤️❤️❤️
It was cold and windy and muddy- and Bronx loved it!! Look at that happy dance!!!
Colt loves the snow while his brother Elroy just waits for him to get over it!
A bit of fun on our walks!
I wish I had taken more pictures and videos but we were literally too busy playing and just enjoying the time we spent at The Meadow!!
Happy Thanksgiving! From all of us here at Anita’s Creature Comforts to all of you, we are so grateful for you all ❤️🍂🍁🦃
I can never NOT stop and laugh at Arkham’s old man snores. It gets me every time. 😂😂😂
When Wallace wants to get something started, but you’re a good boy and just want to get back to napping….

Intro to packwalking!
I have had a lot of people ask me lately about adding their dog to a pack walk. I wanted to show a little bit about how I begin to introduce dogs to the idea of packwalking.
Many people have the vision of Cesar and 10-15 dogs all walking in step with him. While it looks incredible and is certainly possible for some dogs, it takes work and patience and effort to get there.
Today I am introducing my fearful friend Mocha to walking with another dog, my dog Zombie. Zombie is balanced, well trained and well socialized. He’s a great introduction for Mocha, who tends to be lower energy, standoffish and nervous.
Walking together is a great way for dogs to get to know each other and to be introduced. When I first let them meet, I kept them apart and calm, they sniffed the air and we began to walk almost immediately WITHOUT them meeting face to face. After about 15 minutes, Mocha finally showed interest, and sniffed Zombie’s backend, which he patiently allowed. We kept moving forward, and after another 15 minutes, Mocha was finally ready for a face to face meeting.
I always use different techniques with different dogs. High energy vs low, excitement vs fear, socialized vs non socialized- all of these dogs need different approaches.
As much as we all want our dogs to have that full pack walk experience, I hope this helps you appreciate the small victories and baby steps you sometimes need to take to get there! With consistency and practice, your dog and you can achieve great things!!!
