SMF’s Armani

ASPC/AMHR 2019 c**t. Armani is a gorgeous classic c**t with a pretty head, and long neck. He is sired by National Top Three halter horse; McCarthys Patriot Missle HOF, and out of multiple Congress Champion; Grassmere’s Truly Exquisite. He hasn’t had a lot done with him, and I don’t recommend him for a person who isn’t fairly horse savvy. I think he’ll get better with more consistent handling, but he is flighty and afraid of things. He is definitely one of the prettier well put together c**ts I’ve raised though, & every bit an open caliber show horse if you take the time to get him to come around. I just don’t have the time, and am not really showing anymore. He would also be a good breeding prospect. He isn’t dirty or mean. He’s curious & wants to be friendly, but just acts very nervous and scared for some reason. He leads, ties, stands well for clipping bridle path, and has worn a back pad a handful of times. No AMHR height guarantee.

I’ll add more information and pictures as these upload. Updated with available horses as I’ve sold several already, and had some I was keeping; but decided I want to entirely get out of the minis and Shetlands to focus more on the Quarter horses and some hackneys.
Will also do package deals, and have several not pictured here I’ll work on adding. Everything pictured is currently available.

Will also have a Jerald pony viceroy with team pole for sale, I just need to get around to pulling it out for pictures. Comes with cart cover.

After some long thinking I have decided to switch up my program to focus on just the hackneys, and QH’s. So will be selling all my minis and Shetlands, as I hate seeing them sit around doing nothing. Due to wanting to cut down & not really breeding for the last 4-5 years, most mares are all open by choice to breed to whomever you’d like early in the year. I don’t currently have pictures of everyone, but will work on getting them over the next little bit, and adding information on each. If there’s anyone specific that’s posted yet or not, please feel free to message about them.

1992 Trail-et
Trailer was custom designed by Lee Dunn, I’m only its second owner. It is set up for 6 ponies. I have removed dividers, and fit up to 11 though. Dividers are adjustable to two height for minis or hackneys, one with stud wall divider for hauling babies. I have pulled dividers and trailered 4 full size horses with plenty of room.

Drop down front windows on all stalls.

Tack room/living area is large, with mattress, A/C, and mini fridge. I have fit 4 carts, including a viceroy, plus all tack and feed for 13 ponies for congress in it.
Front area has two doors, including one large side door which allows for a viceroy to easily be loaded. I can load, and unload it very easily by myself on wooden board ramp.

Trailer is in great shape, I’m just no longer showing minis and have no use for it. Asking $12,000

Trailer is currently located in Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON. Approximately 15 minutes over the Lewiston, NY border.

I got Tess from Lee Dunn’s estate after he past away, he had told me he broke her to drive but I’ve only used her as a broodmare. She’s barefoot in these pictures. She gets in foal, and foals out easily. Is a great mother.

She is a full sibling to Spencer, who is pictured showing at Louisville. Attached are pictures of two of her fillies as well.

SMF’s Captivating Images HOF “Image”

2012 ASPC/AMHR 37.75” stallion. Foundation certified.

Image is a Top 5 National & Congress halter horse, and has his AMHR Halter Hall of Fame. He is sired by Australian Supreme Champion; SMHC’s Freedoms Nicodemus, and out of WHF Captains Silk Stocking. He is good with babies outside during breeding season, and settles mares easily. This is a stallion that deserves to be utilized more, he’s been a phenomenal producer for me in his limited foal crops, and could easily be someone’s main herd sire. He has produced offspring that have gone on to win at both Nationals and Congress. He has offspring in France, and also produced SMF’s Images Midnight Mistress. Who was a 37” horse that went Congress Reserve Country Pleasure Driving Champion in the Classic 46” & Under class.

Since I’ve really cut back on breeding and left most of my mares open the last several years he’s not getting used to his full potential. I would love to see him somewhere that he’s going to be used. Pictures in the sand ring with the wooden fence are the most recent, and are of him in 100% natural pasture condition.

Sired by Heartland Firewalker, and out of Wait & See’s Crystal Berry. Crystal Berry was purchased from Lee Dunn a couple years before his passing, and goes back to Dun Haven Celebrity, and Truly Yours.

Showed in hand as a weanling and yearling, and is a Congress Champion in-hand.

Jimmy was broke to drive as a three year old, easy to drive. Has had some time off so will need a refresher. Has driven both inside, and outside no problems. Picture is from only his second time ever in shafts.

2.5 weeks ago I had the worst start to foaling season I’ve ever had. For the very first time in 12 years of breeding I lost a live foal. I’ve had 3-4 still borns, but never one I’ve had my hands on alive and just not been able to save until this year. Red bag, dummy foal that the university wasn’t able to save either. To make it more heartbreaking it was a gorgeous LBS filly, and the very first foal out of Michigan’s Queen Bee (anyone that knows Queenie knows just how special she is to me). So for my first live foal to ever lose to be her first foal made it particularly hard 💔😭. Thankfully, Queenie is doing fantastic though.

Fast forward to three days ago when I got to welcome in what is potentially my most wild (😂) child I’ve had born to date! ❤️ She literally spent almost two hours “running” laps around her Mom after she learned to stand before deciding she should maybe learn to nurse. 🤦‍♀️😂.. and other than some naps don’t think she’s stopped bouncing around since 💕

This is the second foal ever sired by SMF’s Secret Agent, and his first ever filly! I couldn’t be more excited about this kid, and with it looking like she’ll be my only baby this year I should have plenty of time to try halter break her before she’s a COMPLETE ball of chaos. 🥰

Gotta love the broodmares who just bounce around you at feeding time, at least they’re good for some eye candy as I’m dodging them 😂❤️

I realized I’ve owned Ellie about 5 years and never gotten pictures of her really until these today. Ellie (Dun Haven Elegant Style) was one of the last two remaining horses on Lee Dunn’s property after he passed. I picked her and another mare up from the estate after all the others had left and will forever be thankful to have them in my herd.

For any one looking for an incredible all around youth, ammy friendly gelding that’s still extremely competitive on the open level this boy fits that bill!

SMF’s Aisle Party was the 2018 Congress Grand Champion Modern Pleasure gelding! As well as won numerous Amateur and open Congress Championships. This 4 year old 45.75” gelding has only been shown a handful of times, he is an absolute blast to show. He’s very showy, let’s you stand way off him and really show him! He is also very sweet, and easy to get along with. He has been in lines and was ready to hook earlier this year so will just need a refresher. He is ASPC/ASPR registered.

His dam; Hokey has produced 4 babies for me so far (including Tanner), and all three that have shown have won multiple Congress Champion titles. This c**t would make a phenomenal all around classic gelding prospect!! I bred this cross with the intent to have a really competitive classic halter and driving prospect, and he is exactly what I was hoping for.

I’m a little behind, but somehow missed this post. SMF’s Images Midnight Mistress “Sway” had a absolutely amazing first season driving for her owner; Elizabeth Haas. Sway added Congress Champion driving titles, as well as Congress Reserve Stake Champion to her list of wins... then went on to Tulsa where she also added several more National titles to her list of accomplishments including Reserve Champion Open Country Pleasure, 36-38”. She’s already half way to her Hall of Fame in just her first year out!
