ABOUT THE OWNER
Hi there, my name is Kirsten! I started working with dog's in 2012 where my passion for dog grooming grew. In 2014 I became a certified dog groomer. My experience has allowed me to work with various breeds of dogs, specific needs, and specialize in a wide range of styles and techniques. I am a graduate from Brock University with an honours degree in Therapeutic Recreation. With my

experience grooming and my background in therapeutic recreation, I pride myself in appreciating a holistic approach in every day living and passing this lifestyle along to loved ones including animals. I understand trusting someone with your pet can be difficult, especially since they are family, if you want to know more about me and my experience please feel free to contact me and I will be happy to answer any of your questions. Dogs give us a sense of purpose, a social network, unconditional love, and see us for our strengths and never our flaws. We should treat them the same and give them a spa day that will make them beautiful inside and out! At Pawlistic Beauty, a holistic approach is used in all services completed. Rather than grooming and sending your pup on his/her way, the holistic approach ensures that your pup is benefitting all around and is taken care of on a personal level. Pawlistic Beauty takes pride in connecting with each pet and ensuring they feel as comfortable as possible. Each pet is unique which is why the grooming experience should not be the same for each pet. No matter your dog’s needs, the holistic approach will recognize them and work hard to make your dog comfortable. Pawlistic Beauty is a one person show, meaning your pet will be the only one in the salon at a time and will be worked on from start to finish, never being left alone. With a quiet space, and being able to connect to only one groomer working on them, your dog will get a personalized visit each and every time.

No I’m not starting to groom farm animals in March, I am having myself a human baby! 🎉💚🐑

Our cat is clearly thrilled with the news 🐱

This is going to be a huge transition as I am the only groomer. To be honest, my first trimester has been a rollercoaster, I have not felt good at all, I am forever grateful, just also forever nauseous 😂

I have had to make the difficult decision to refer some of my clients out. This breaks my heart as I love you all. I am still working full time and plan to until I physically cannot, but I know I’ll have to continue to refer out some clients as the months progress. This is of no reflection of you or your pup, it’s just what my body can handle for the moment.

I need to thank all the local groomers. Thank you so much for being my support system! The groomers I’m referring clients out to are amazing and have communicated with me with complete transparency, it makes the transition so much easier ♥️

The plan is to make it to March 1st 🤞 My maternity leave may be a matter of months, but nothing has been confirmed yet. I will keep everyone posted. But for now, I am working week by week. I appreciate all of you, you all have been so understanding and flexible as I navigate this exciting chapter.

We are officially in summer mode! Which means long weekends, long evenings and last minute plans to get away!

Which are all the things that make the summer amazing, but scheduling wise can be a headache. Summer is when I get the most last minute cancelations or needing to switch around a clients schedule. Which I completely understand, because we want to all enjoy the short summer and make the most of it!

But please have a look at your summer schedule and double check that the dates work, the more notice I have the better I can switch things around. Cancelations may be charged without more than a 24 hour notice and no shows are always charged as they cost the business a lot and take away from another client trying to get in.

Additionally, my hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm (with the exception of some long weekends and I take Monday and Friday off as well). I respond to inquiries within these business hours. Summer months I seem to get a higher number of inquiries coming in at the strangest times (10PM-6AM Saturday Sunday vibes) no thank you 😂 these inquiries will be answered during working hours, but just a reminder it is always best to reach out to me during my business hours so your message does not get missed somehow.
